Great Budget and Starter Baritone!
First, it should be tuned DGBE, which it is when you get it, but is falsely labeled GCEA in the nomenclature on this page. The strings that came on it were so oxidized that they were unusable. But, I didn’t plan on using the stock strings anyway. It plays nicely and tunes nicely. I wish it had a tie-on bridge, but that’s only a minor point. For the budget, the craftsmanship is superb. The wood is lovely, and despite being laminate, the sound quality is decent. I’m really enjoying it.For those that don’t know, baritone Ukuleles are tuned like the highest 4 strings of a guitar. You can adapt guitar tabs and chords to play on this instrument, which is what I do.

Needs strings
The instrument itself is very good. The box it came in was flimsy and poorly taped, but the ukulele was fine or it’s case. The strings are not good, but with new strings (a mere $4 investment), I’m very impressed by the tone and ease of play.

My 1st Baritone Uke
The media could not be loaded. I have been playing ukulele for a few years and this is my first baritone one. It looks more beautiful than I think. The strings are not in tuned yet but not much problem. It's strap is so small as if it was made for soprano or sopranino ukulele so I attach another strap to it. The gig bag is acceptable and I have no plan to play the uke anywhere out of my home. Now I have all the 4 sizes of ukuleles and hope to enjoy playing them.

Great quality!
Hard to believe this was only $85. Fit, finish and playability are excellent. I suggest getting one now before the price goes up, which it will do when people find out what a deal this is! Oh, yeah, and it looks great, too.

Don't order this!
The ukulele just arrived, I open it up and examine it and the first fret isn't even set all the way into the neck, and is sharp as hell.Sending it back.

Looks great, feels nice. Sound quality is a bit weird... Muffled and somewhat echoey
Strange. Not sure if it should have a good or bad review. First the good. Price is excellent for a Baritone Ukulele. Looks wonderful on the wall, fit and finish is great, frets are done nicely. A good deal for a beginner ukulele. Good strings too (comes with an extra set of spare). The part that I am not sure about is its sound quality. I have no less than 3 dozen ukuleles, and I built some myself using cigar boxes and from scratch. A lot of times, I could get nice Aguila strings and put it on one of my less than perfect ukulele, and it would sound reasonably nice. This is kind of like that. Something about it is weird, the sound does not ring out and project, instead it sounds a little echoey.... As if there is little to no resonance. I am also feeling that the wood used for the face is too thin. Or maybe it is the way that it is braced that is causing this... can't pin point it, but can definitely hear it.In any case, it is a little on the quiet side. But if all you are doing is practicing on it at home by yourself, that's not a big deal. A good place to get started for beginners. I just can't help wanting to check it out. Ultimately, fair... more than fair for the price.

This is a solid ukulele for a good price
I'm more than happy with this purchase. Some out of the box good points. Book matching is really nice on both front and back. The pictures do not do the flame justice, it's a nice narrow, subtle striping. Looking from the edge of the soundhole it seems reasonably thick, but it's not solid and I wouldn't expect that at this price. Edge binding is well done, looks sharp and even kind of matches the strap. Arch back gives it a nice feel to hold although the wood selected for the back did have quite a few small imperfections, like tool dents or something like that. The top and sides were pretty much flawless though. Fret work is decent but needed a bit of polishing on the edges. Which again I would expect but no major issues. Some tiny spots around the base of the neck/fretboard/frets had excess glue which needed to be removed and they used a good glue because it wasn't that easy. Nut is well installed although a little bit wide. I really like the fret inlays and they are well done. The whale/star combo is rad and it has edge dots too. Fretboard was darker than pictured but I prefer it. The bridge also matches the fretboard, which is nice. For some reason the inside edges of the slots of the headstock don't have finish applied. Tuners are... usable but all needed minor adjustment. Kmise inlay on the headstock is also quite well done. Only other minor issue I have with the ukulele itself is the location of the neck strap button is odd and makes it difficult to access the highest frets. The strap doesn't help this. I cut the end of the strap as much as I could. I may end up moving it to the back of the base of the neck where it feels like it should be. Finally, the strings that came with it were far from "premium" in my opinion. I had to replace them almost right away with a set of Aquila New Nylgut. It sounds and plays WAY better now. Overall you can't go wrong at this price if you're looking to add a baritone to your collection.

I have bought many baritones ... THESE are great!
I bought TWO.... the Tiger FLame Okoume Wood, (Fancy) and the Mahogany Vintage Hawaiian, which is plainer, but so far as I've discovered, is superior in tone and build, although it was $5.00 cheaper. I dont have much respect for the tuning pegs on the Flame, which I have found on other instruments to be prone to slipping, but they could be just fine, and I just never had quality before. Time will tell. Also, Both instruments seem to have gone through preliminary tuning before shipping, but the D and G strings on the flame are still stretching so to be fair I must give it some time. What is VERY impressive is that these Kmise baritones are BOTH built with adjustment rods for the neck, which I have never seen in a uke before. I could sit down and play the mahogany immediately. Wont find much interest in the flame till its settled in, but the tone is already starting to wake up. I have bought many baritones to give away and teach, but when my favorite brand (because they were cheap but still very playable) ROGUE stopped making baritones I was hunting for the past two years to find a reasonable priced instrument which I could depend on and not feel too concerned about careless kids getting rambunctious with them. In some cases, I have found much more expensive and well built instruments just didnt have the resonance. These Kmise already are promising! Yes, they cost more, but everything has gone up in past two years, and I believe these are gonna be my go-to for recommending. Until someone is accomplished enough that they can judge for themselves the quality in a $300 PLUS instrument, I have no qualms whatsoever about recommending these to my students' parents. $100 is peanuts for something I'm pretty sure you won't have to send back! I haven't any insight into the tuning way up the neck, as I am into basics, but again, if you're THAT good, you already know what you want!

Sounds great
After playing a tenor uke (high g) for 9 months thought I'd try this, and really like it. It is a larger instrument than standard ukes with different tuning (chord shapes are the same, but for different chords) and it has a lower tone that better suits my voice

A bit rough

Pretty with Great Sound
This is a beautiful ukulele. The Tiger flame okoume wood is beautiful. It is well constructed and sounds lovely. I’d recommend this ukulele for someone who is transitioning from guitar. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for a beginner because it’s large. If you need a little more finger space for making chords it’s a great choice. I would have given it 5 stars but my ukulele’s fret bars poke out from the fret board slightly as you run your fingers down the edge. This is the only concern and may only be a concern for this uke. It really is a lovely, pretty, warm sounding ukukele.
