Electro-Harmonix Bass Mono Synth Bass Synthesizer Pedal

Really cool pedal to get those real 80s synth-y sounds! The quality of the pedal seems good so I think it'll hold up over time. It has several different synth sounds that really come out great. Definitely play around with the knobs to dial in the right tone and sound. Coupled with my chorus pedal, these sound really great and I thought was a good price for what you get.

What else can I say , simply put the mono synth for bass is BAD A$$!!!! : )

Very cool sounds. Records nice deep bass Synth. Didn't need to eq at all. Runs 2 line outs, 1 Synth 1 clean. I don't ever use stomp box's on Bass Guitar. I do now.

This pedal is incredibly temperamental. On occasion, the notes track and the sound is pretty cool, but the other half of the time notes don’t register properly, the knobs have minimal effect and it’s far easier to make the pedal sound bad than it is to sound good. I have had it for three months, talked to the guys at a music store and had them walk me through it and they concurred it’s unfortunately a poorly designed pedal.

Good for drumming with and not much else, on its own it’d be hard to recommend. With my other “hard to recommend “ pedals it’s actually not so bad and pretty great with drums. On its own however it’s still really great with drums just not much else.

I don't want to insult any of the other reviewers, but you need to be very good at the bass to use this thing properly. If you have good control over your attack then you will be able to play it. I say "play it" because this pedal is a synth, and your bass is triggering the oscillators to generate a sound. Preset mode seems useless, and I understand that it produces latency... not sure why they designed it like that. But I'm pretty sure it's because EH is trying to afford you a synth bass pedal for roughly $100. Be happy with it and learn to get a tone out of it... synthesis is finicky stuff but I can still rip this thing for a couple songs! It's a good pedal, just don't expect the moon from it.

Its very glitchy. Limited in tones. Ill probably upgrade to a better poly synth. It does ok for the price.

Really a lot of fun it won't be used alot but when I find the tone for the right song amazing

I used this on a bass guitar, to hide my considerable shortcomings as a bass player, but also experimented with it to add effects to my drums using a mic. Particularly effective on toms and kick drum (as you might expect) creating a range of weird and very unpredictable sound effects for home recording. Not quite 'Frankenstein' but great fun to use....!!
