Short lived but good for a couple months.
Worked great for a little over 4 months, then one day without warning it just stopped pushing power to my laptop. I thought maybe it was the outlet because the green light on the charger was out as well but when I moved it to a different outlet the green light came back on but nothing at the laptop. Eventually the green light will go out but it comes back on as soon as it's unplugged and plugged back in. It would get pretty hot under load but now it's cool to the touch. I plan to contact the company since the listing boasts a 2 year warranty if the unit becomes defective, but since it's past the Amazon return window I have to figure out how still. I intend to update this after resolution based on the results of the customer service. Edit After more testing it turns out the laptop itself fried a component on the motherboard and this power supply is presumably still functional.

great replacement
I've been using this for 3 months now, and it works like the original. I got my Asus predator at a pawn shop, so I dont exactly remember the condition of the original power supply before it went bad. My original power supply powered my Asus Predator for a good 3 months before one of two things caused its downfall. 1) I got a new water proof case for the laptop and I sometimes closed the lid on the cable, probably unknowingly snipping and crimping it. and/or 2) My cat would get curious as to what wire would taste like. Anyway, I noticed my origian power adapter wires became frayed for those or other reasons and I had to replace it with this. I'm more careful about placing the power adapter in my case now, and I try not to leave the laptop and power cables unattended around curious cats. This is a bit pricey, but it works. Seems to charge the laptop in about 90 minutes. IDK if its a powers setting, but my Predator only stays charged for another 90 minutes before it gets fully depleted again. I would recommend this charger. It has good reviews.

Works better than the original brick for the Acer Aspire A715-71G
This product is far better than the stock power supply for the Acer Aspire A715-71G. The stock power supply would get very hot, to the point that it slipped the cable wrapping free from the reinforcement around the brick (leaving dangerous exposed wiring) and would overheat. The stock power supply would cause the laptop to slow down and underperform when the power supply was overheating (the power supply was seemingly cooking itself). When the power supply got hot enough it ceased charging (seemingly as a protection). The stock power supply was rated for 135W while this one is rated for 180W. This power supply has long cords connecting to both ends of the power brick, does not overheat (it gets slightly warm at most), has an unobtrusive green power led, has a velcro tie included on the wire, and connects to the laptop's charging port at a slightly tilted angle (likely to slip out instead of breaking in the case of accidentally tugging/yanking on the port). The reinforcement of the cable on the connection to the brick also inspires confidence. I'd take this over the OEM version from Acer any day of the week.

Works.
The original power adapter stopped working properly, would connect/disconnect and make an annoying beeping sound each time. I was ready to throw my acer nitro 5 laptop at the wall out of anger, thinking it was the laptop - decided to get a replacement power adapter to test it out and it works great. no more disconnecting issues. mine fits snug in my laptop, but it doesn't fall out if you move it as others have claimed. it also doesn't run hot as others have claimed as well. at least for my acer nitro an515-53 - also feels sturdy and put together quite nicely. highly recommend if you're having any issues like mine.

Awesome for Acer Nitro 5 but connection is a little loose
This laptop charger works flawlessly for my Acer Nitro 5 (an515-53) The only problem I have is its slightly loose when connected to the laptop and can slide out if the laptop moves. Other than that I have no complaint

Good replacement of OEM
Fits like OEM, and looks to be made of quality materials. Previous replacement one (one of the cheaper one from Amazon) died after 3 months. Hope this one lasts for a while.

Will not keep charging your laptop
I've had issues where the power would start to not go through the charger. My gaming laptop requires it to be charging to play games at full speed, but if my charger disconnects during play then it would usually continue playing just fine and give me the time I need to replug the charger. Now this charger is problematic though, when its fully plugged in, it'll "lose power" over time and not charge my laptop, and replugging doesn't fix, but it also has the added bonus of turning off my directx or whatever on my laptop when the power stops, unlike my regular charger. This product is real garbage. I gotta restart my laptop to get anything running properly half the time with this.

Nice upgrade
So originally I went the cheap route and bought the 65 w replacement charger in the Fall of 2018 for my Nitro 5 laptop. I could either play games on computer or charge it not both. At first I thought something was wrong with my laptop, did a little research and looked at past purchase and watt size. I went ahead and ordered this and have had no issues now charging and playing a game at same time. Worth the price, does what it’s supposed to do.
