Built to last, great quality medicine ball!
I purchased this medicine ball to add to my growing home gym. I know Champion is a quality company and I saw the price of the 9/10lb 2 KG ball and couldn’t pass it up. Plus this was an actual medicine ball not a slam ball, I wanted a real old school medicine ball, this one is that. At first when i unboxed it, and took off the plastic I felt a bunch of sand and got worried. That is completely normal. The ball was in perfect condition and felt exactly the way I wanted it to feel. I’ve already used it twice and it’s perfect. Good quality, no odd smells, great feel when you are holding it. Perfectly sized and weight too. It will definitely last! I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. For the price you can’t beat this ball. Some other sellers were offering cheaper priced slam balls and then they would say medicine ball in the description so it’s confusing. This is a medicine ball, made of leather and you can’t feel anything shaking around inside it’s great. It came next day as promised so shipping was on point. I will definitely be purchasing a heavier version of this same ball to add to my gym in the next month or so. Thanks for being exactly like described and still making the quality we all care about! I appreciate that. I definitely recommend this medicine ball 💯!

I'm new to medicine balls. These are so nicely made, built to last, and cool looking.
I'm intentionally ignoring medicine ball online exercise programs and trying to invent my own. It just occurred to me to get two smaller weight balls. I dance with these things - it's an awesome, organic work out. I play a game where I hold these things out and feel the pull of the ball toward the Earth, and instead of experiencing the ball as "heavy", attributed with having "weight", I experience it as feeling the force of gravity, and in that sense, to feel the mass of the earth compared to the mass of the ball. My largest ball is 20 lbs and the Earth is 12 septillion lbs. So, these medicine balls can be thought of as mass-calibrated instruments for experiencing the gravitation pull of the Earth, and in that sense, the Earth's massive mass. All that aside, these are just really nice, attractive, warm objects to have in your house.

Still Going Strong After 6 Years of Workouts
This medicine ball has been an excellent purchase. Even after 6 years of regular use, it has held up really well and still feels durable and reliable. The outer material has stayed intact, the grip is solid, and it still performs great for slams, core work, and strength training. I’ve been impressed with how well it has lasted over time, especially with repeated workouts. If you want fitness equipment that can handle years of use, this is a great choice. Definitely money well spent.

Awesome product, color not what was expected...
I used to have an older leather ball just like this one (execpt it was all black in color), that I had to tearfully give up when I left my old unit unexpectedly. I use this for many different fitness activities, and the 16 pounder is ideal, both in weight and size, for a medium, athletic-build male. I do a lot of medicine ball narrow-grip pushups on it, which, combined with the Russian-Twist, are two great reasons for getting a leather ball instead of rubber (easier grip that doesn't slide as easy when sweaty). I would certainly give this medicine ball five stars, but for the fact that they make the color of this one look Teal, when the actual color is baby blue. Our home is decorated with a lot of mid-century accents teal being a predominant color, and I love to leave my workout gear out in the den, so I was disappointed when the color wasn't what I expected. I kept the ball anyway, as I really missed my old one!

A real medicine ball, and nothing but a medicine ball
OMGs, the effort required to find a decent, standard, medicine ball! I don't want something I can slam on the floor, or throw against a wall. My neighbors would kill me! I was a bit concerned about ordering this one as, at the time, I saw some reviews stating what was received was not what was shown in the description. Not sure if they're shipping different balls to different countries but I ordered one in kilograms and got one in pounds. NOT the biggest deal, as it was in the range listed in the description. Glad to see they are fixing the issue, now, though. The ball is a smooth leather, with some tack. It may be too slick if you have dry hands, especially at first. But with use I've found I've had little trouble holding onto it. There is a bit of give to help with grip, too. I've had no problems with seams splitting or it getting knocked out of shape the few times I've dropped it (while tossing in the air). I plan on sticking with this brand for all future medicine balls.

Great
Excellent quality perfect for 200 lb person in power training or for more of a challenge a person between 100 and 200 lb in power training. Not meant for someone under 100 lb my opinion as a PES and CPT as that is >10% body weight. Can also be used for balance training and strength and endurance training. Throw back and forth with a friend if you can do so safely. You may need to do strength training before so if it is too difficult.

Good Grip and Durability at an Affordable Price
I was searching obsessively for a classic leather medicine ball around the internet, in vintage stores and at swap meets in the bay area. I was unsuccessful as these items are rare and loved by their owners. I did find a muhammed ali everlast one as well as the $350 mezler replicas, but I wasn't that crazy about the gimmicky one nor the high price tag of the latter. I was on the everlast site, a classic brand associated with boxing and fitness, and noticed that they only carried 9-10lb balls, so I figured there was something universal and practical about this particular weight/size. I ended up purchasing this ball for well under $20 and it's been great. The stitching is legit, and the synthetic leather has a really nice grip. Lots of people try kicking it when they come over and are surprised that it's not a toy. It's a great fitness item to have around the office to play with between tasks. I am satisfied, but will hopefully find a vintage leather one with my name on it in the future.

Perfect medicine ball
I like the leather medicine ball as it is comfortable on the hands and appears to be durable. The 6-7 lb weight is perfect for me and the size and grip of the ball is ideal. I would recommend this product.

Made to Last
Really great quality, my first thought when I took it out of the box was, oh yeah, this is going to last a lifetime. I have not had a medicine ball before, but after taking a good amount of time comparing with rubber or plastic, or whatever all the others were, I just felt confident that leather would be a lot better, and I am glad I made this choice. A doctor on youtube showed ways of using it to relieve trigger points etc. on the adductor muscles, which is what made me decide to get it, but I will find other exercises for it I'm sure.
