La Riche Directions Hair Colour - Turquoise 88ml Pot

After purchasing this back in March, I am finally getting around to using it for the first time. I usually use Manic Panic but i heard that this Directions brand lasts much longer! First of all, make sure the area you are dying is at least dyed blonde, my hair is a fairly light blonde and it took the color very well! 2nd WEAR gloves! This dye stains everything and anything; skin, counter tops, walls etc. Be smarter than I was and lay down some newspaper or an old towel so you dont ruin anything. 3rd, i took a small amount of the actual dye and mixed it with my normal Tresemme conditioner to lighten the turquoise color to my satisfaction. I dyed my hair by myself (i did the ends of my hair for an ombre effect), but i would suggest having someone help so it can be even applied. I allowed the dye to sit on my hair for at least 20 mins before washing it out. My color turned out into this GORGEOUS mermaid green/turquoise color! I LOVE IT! When towel drying your hair, be sure to use a towel you dont care about because the dye (when wet) will get all over your towel or clothes. Obviously this dye will fade each time you wash it, so i suggest to make the color last, use a Dry Hair Shampoo spray (Tresemme, Suave, Dove all make one)- This will get you through having to wash your hair less. I will update this later to let you know how many washes it took before my hair color completely faded away.

Ordered turquoise and it is awesome! I have a lot of thick hair and strangely it covered all of it with only half a tub. I bought 2 just in case since they were only about $5. It did take about a month to arrive. I didn't realize it was coming from the UK. I do NOT recommend diluting this unless your hair is pale white and you want like a water color. I tried diluting this with some white conditioner and it came out a murky pale green. I then applied it all over as is and to my surprise it quite bright. The lighter parts of my hair are a bright teal, more blue. The darker parts that were a little yellow came out more green but still vibrant and pretty!

LOVE love this dye! it is very long lasting, so much better than manic panic, and very vivid. i get compliments at 9 out of 10 places i go, people have literally stopped their car in a parking lot to tell me how much they like it. everyone comments on how much more vibrant the color is than other people's they've seen. also, it;'s the only brand of blue dye that doesn't fade to green on my blonde hair. it just gets a more pale blue. so happy, can't recommend this enough! one note- do use an old pillowcase, or one you don't care about, because your wet hair will transfer a bit if you go to bed with it damp. as a regular alternative-hair-dyer, I'm used to this and it's not a big deal. the dye has never transferred to my clothing when it was damp, or when i was caught in the rain.

My hair was pre-bleached when I put this on, left it in overnight and washed it out in the morning. After the first month or two I had to redye it but after that, it would hardly fade. It's been almost a year and I still can't get the color out! I've tried stripping it and bleaching it and nothing works. I didn't give a full 5 stars because there is no way to get this color fully out of your hair without cutting it out.

Directions has been my choice of hair dye for over a year now and I absolutely love it! The range of colors is nice for starters, but what I love about Directions is the color intensity and long lasting effects. You do have to get your hair platinum blonde/white, but the color is vibrant and beautiful. I use turquoise, so as the dye fades it turns into a green-ish color which I also find a pretty attractive color. If doesn't ever fade completely or become splotchy either. I usually leave the dye in for two to three hours mixed with a little conditioner, but I've seen other people get great results by just following the instructions on the box. The two photos are right after I dyed my hair and after months of fading.

I've ordered turquois, atlantic blue, and rose. The rose is my favorite, it gives you a very deep almost purple pink that after a week becomes bright pink and bloody stays, let me tell you. Turquoise also stay strong, and fades to a mermaid sort of color. I have to bleach to get off. I haven't tried the blue yet. Cut with conditioner, it'll last forever!! EDIT: So I recently got spring green, and unless you bleach your hair white, it does not show well, and quickly turns to light brown. Atlantic blue is nice, but fades far faster than the turquoise or Rose. Rose is still my favorite, and is FABULOUS mixed in with Turquoise.

I LOVE the way this turquoise color looks in my hair when I first dye it. It also doesn't bleed and stain as much like other dyes I've tried. Sadly, it doesn't stay in very long - maybe a week tops - and the brassy green color it fades into isn't very nice. That said, I dyed my hair unbleached, so you'll probably get longer lasting results (and less of the brassy green color) if you do so. Also, blue/teal dyes are notorious for fading quickly in general. If you like changing your hair color a lot, this would be a good candidate, because the color is very beautiful. However, if you want a long lasting dye, you may want to try a different color.

In the long run I love this stuff! The color sticks around way longer than things like manic panic and pravana do for me. However, this one kept bleeding for several weeks. When I'd wash my hair, or just get my hair a little wet while washing my face, or if I happened to get caught in a slight drizzle outside the color would run. I've never had that happen with any other dye. The color is the best teal color I've tried, so it's worth it imo, but the color just takes a long time before it won't bleed much anymore.

Farbe ist erfrischend und haelt gut auf richtig hellem blondem Haar. Strassenkoeterblond muss allerdings erst mal richtig gebleicht werden, sonst wirkt es nicht. Ich habe hellblonde extensions gefaerbt und in die schwarzen Haare integriert und bin sehr zufrieden mit Directions im Vergleich zu anderen Praeparaten, die sich schneller auswaschen.

Really impressed with this dye. Easy to apply and went a long way. I have blond hair naturally but did bleach the ends to give it the best start. Still going strong although less vibrant with nice pastor colour now after 20 washes! Very impressed.

Jättebra färg, blir fint lyster men oj vad den sitter...fick växa bort.

Super produit, je ne suis pas déçue. Moi j'en mets que pour faire qques mèches, cela fait très joli et ça part au bout de qques shampoings. Je ne laisse poser que 15 mins comme s'est écrit et cela suffit, car c'est une couleur assez flashy mais c'est un très beau turquoise (je précise que j'ai une coloration blond moyen cendré + demis longueurs et pointes très blondes). Il parait que ça ne marche que sur les cheveux colorés ou décolorés, mais j'ai testé cette couleur sur une mèche de ma petite fille de 4 ans (sachant que le produit n'est pas chimique). Elle est très blonde et bien sûr naturel, et cela a aussi fonctionné ! Mais s'enlève plus rapidement au bout de 1 voire 2 shampoings. En tt cas ça lui a bien plu et avec sa jolie petite robe turquoise pour un mariage elle a fait fureur !
