if you like your drama outside the box with betrayal, implied sexuality, loss, revenge, and pathos involving a mythical creature this is for you. It is a well acted korean period fantasy that will keep you glued and entertained for the duration.

GRUDGE THE REVOLT OF GUMIHO Ask seller questions about their set Comments I enjoyed adding this to my fast growing collection of Gumiho dramas from Korea and China. I couldn't stop watching it. It is very different from the other dramas I own. If you like Gumiho then you might like this one. My set had this issue It was hard to set subtitles and language. This is how to make it work. 1) You can use the subtitle and language buttons on your remote control with no problem. OR 2) start the disc then go to the menu page select your language and subtitles then play For me it was annoying but the quality of the set out weighed this small glitch. I just put a note with the set for future use. THERE'S A DRAMA FOR THAT

I loved this kdrama!!! About a gumiho's revenge against a family who murdered her daughter. Acting was top notch. I had to own this one.

i am so upset with this dvd the english subtitle was not on this dvd only chinese and mandarin i click on the english selection did not working only chinese i have puchase so many asian movies and this is the first..posted as english subtitle but there is no english..will

The Editorial Review for this series is rather a bit off base... as is the translated title. The original title is 구미호: 여우누이뎐. With 구미호 meaning Gumiho which means Nine-Tail Fox and 여우누이뎐 being loosely translated as tale of the fox child or fox sister. While "grudge" is an integral part of the story, it doesn't appear in the original title. As for the synopsis, a more accurate version would be the Gumiho mother and daughter are taken in when a wealthy man needs a child's liver to save his daughter's life. The story is a Shakespearean style tragedy from beginning to end. While the makeup and effects leave a bit to be desired, it remains an engrossing tale and worth a watch for fans of Eastern lore. There is a good deal of bloodshed, so parents should be aware it wasn't written for very young audiences.

This thing is a masterpiece. its a fairy tale that is absolutely horrible and I loved it. If you have watched any Korean historical drama's you can tell that this takes place in an earlier more primitive era and I enjoyed seeing this time when mythical and modern ages overlap. The two little girls steal the show, they are both a couple of the best actresses I've ever seen. If I could give this more than 5 stars I would.
