Poor Quality
There are MANY "photos" of what appear to be identical products - same photo, the same red case, same number of rods, etc. I don't think there are any differences except the price. I paid around $70 for the set I purchased (Kink Industries - another company sells what appears to be the exact same set for $155) but knowing what I know now, if I found what appears to be the same picture for $20, I would buy the $20 one. If it isn't what the photo on Amazon appears to be (same as the higher priced ones) simply return it. There were photos of the red case sets that looked identical up to around $150 so as always, buyer beware. I always like to buy when it states shipped and sold by Amazon. I know then, there shouldn't be any problems returning them.I purchased these because I have an enlarged prostate and sometimes it takes awhile to pee. So I thought, maybe if I could go through the prostate a couple times per week maybe it would make it easier. I have only done it maybe 6 times and cannot honestly say it helped or not. I figured I would try it for 3 months at a couple times a week and see. No, I didn't talk with my doctor about it so no, no one said this would work. But why the one star you ask. Well because they are NOT glassy smooth, neither the head nor the rod, they are NOT stainless nor are they "surgical" grade. All but three of the rods have little wavy areas (that is really not a concern) however, but it does show lousy workmanship. The first time I tried these, there was some discomfort, not terrible but it felt like it was more the product than me and a bit of pink afterwards (very quickly gone). Afterwards, I inspected each one more thoroughly and found that all of them were not as smooth as first appeared. Since I do headlight restoration, I have all the sandpaper going up to 3,000 grit as well as finishing liquids so I decided I would "polish" each one. After I had spent a couple of hours, they were all glassy smooth HOWEVER, during the polishing, one of the handles came off. This instilled a great deal of confidence in this product - NOT! I could envision one of the "buds" coming off "way down there" and the lousy trip to the ER to have it taken out if I couldn't some how get it out myself - that has not happened but read on. After the polishing, sometimes if there is any pink at all, it is very, very little. Why did the handle come off one and could it happen to the other handles or buds? Let's stop for a minute and back up to the "polishing" procedure. I had taken the "handle" part which is octagon and put it in a regular 12v battery powered drill. I then started polishing the bud and shaft with 1500 grit and finished with 3000 grit, holding against and around the bud. I then used three different degrees of polishing liquid which turned the rod and bud glassy smooth. I used a slow speed. HOWEVER, during the turning of #12, the handle just "popped" off. After examination with a 10x loop, it was because it was a lousy solder job. These are NOT stainless steel nor are they "surgical" grade anything. The buds are chrome plated brass as are the handles. The rods are also chrome plated because you can see on several of them, small pits so you can tell they were chrome plated also. Now, how can I tell the buds and handles are chrome plated brass. Well because after polishing the bud end, on 4 of them you can see the brass color - evidently I sanded/polished the chrome plating right off. The chrome plating evidently was not very good quality or damn thin because during the "sanding" and the polishing with the liquid polish, you see very plainly the brass color showing. Are all of the buds smooth. Better bet your arse they are and if one sterilizes them you shouldn't have a problem with germs etc. - I haven't. More about the cleaning/sterilization of them later. Also, with the loop (and naked eye) you can see the brass color where the rod came out of the handle. The rods are soldered to the buds and handles. I don't know about the buds but the handles appear to go into the handle and are then soldered. I would suppose the rods actually go into the buds as well and are then soldered. After a thorough inspection of where the rods are soldered to the buds, I found each solder looked good or I would not have put these things in me. I also inspected each one of the remaining 7 handles and they too all looked ok. I used all eight and felt pretty confident that the buds would not come off and if they do, I think you could push them up unless they come off after you have gone past the prostate. I started out with the very smallest and worked up but after the second time I just start with the #9. I then use the 10, 11, 12 and 13 although the 13 is pretty tight. I have not tried to solder the rod back to the handle on the one that broke. I am always soft when I do this so the rod never goes all the way in anyway. As far as sexual pleasure is concerned, at least for me, I think looking at a pretty lady on the street is as exciting so the sexual thing is over rated as far as I am concerned but then I didn't purchase them for that. There is a pleasant sensation when the bud passes the prostate but not enough, at least for me, to do a whole lot more than thinking, "gee, that felt nice." You have to push just a little to get it past the prostate and then between that and the bladder they go in about another half inch or so. Going past the prostate is just a little "bump" like feel. When you get to the bladder you would have to push really hard to get through the "gate" so you don't have to worry much about going into the bladder unknowingly at least in my opinion.I decided I would mic each one to see just how close they were to the size stamped on the handle, so I used a digital micrometer and this is what the results were AFTER the polishing: #6/5.99, 7/6.89, 8/7.95, 9/8.88, 10/9.85, 11/10.75, 12/11.86 and #13/12.80. The sizes on the handles then are very close even after the polishing. The actual bud part are all right at 3/4 inch long - the handles are all right at 2 1/4 and the rod part is right at 8 1/4 so the total length then (at least on my set) is 11 1/4 long. The bud end on the larger ones (#9 up) are bulbous and nicely rounded at the tip. The smaller ones are not quite as round at the tip but obviously they aren't as big. They are certainly NOT sharp either and slide in very very easily. The first time use, I washed each with dish soap, then used the gel hand sanitizer, washed them again with dish soap and finally doused each one with 91% rubbing alcohol. Now, I wash each one AFTER each use, then the next time I put each one in a bottle of 91% rubbing alcohol (at any box store), handle end first and then bud end. I then run them under the tap to wash off the alcohol. I use Astroglide and have been very pleased with it although there is a very minor stinging (very minor). I went to Wally and Wlgrenes (spelling on purpose) and asked for 2 of the medicine "plastic syringes" you use to give little kids medicine. The Wlgrenes ones are the best because the small plastic "syringe" part is about 3/4 inch long so you can put it in the head and shoot some Astroglide in and then squeeze it down. (Just to make this clear for the idiots out there, NO this is NOT a needle - it is a syringe with a 3/4 inch PLASTIC end on it that the little kid would put in his/her mouth and you then shoot the MEDICINE into their mouth - when the kid gets older, you give the medicine to the child in a little plastic thimble like cup and they drink it).I won't get into the lousy Chinese quality of these things nor if they use lead solder of which I am sure they do. BUT, if I think after another couple of months at once or twice a week, they are helping my condition, then I will explore the possibility of trying to find a manufacturer (read individual) in the u.s. and have them make me a REAL surgical steel/stainless set. Why didn't I just return the set to Amazon? Well, because I modified the product and am sure they wouldn't have taken them back after the brass came "shining" through. If they would have all remained looking "chromy" I would have.I hope this will genuinely help someone else out there. I don't know about using these on a lady but I am sure they could be with no problem although I suspect there are those made for females that are not as long.

Something a little different...but...
This was my first experience in using sounding instruments...and it won't be the last! So far I've only been able to use the 6mm tool but, I'm looking forward to moving up slowly. As others have said in their reviews, be very careful! If you feel any pain, stop. Make sure things are sterilized and well lubed. Take your time and enjoy the exciting feeling as it slowly and gently slips further down your shaft. I found laying on my back with my knees up was quite comfortable and made for an east start. Let the weight of the handle do the work, and these are nicely weighted. I found the first few inches in felt the most exciting! Then what a surprise when it suddenly slipped all the way down! I didn't expect it to go in up to the handle!I hope you enjoy these as much as I am right now...Update...After using the 6mm for a few days and moving up to the 7mm, I felt a little pain. When I looked closer at the tool, I noticed many fine scratches. I also noticed the plating wasn't completely covering the items. Some where fine, some were terrible. For the price, I suppose you have to expect this. Buyer beware, get a more expensive set!

Opens -potential pathway to prevent surgery
Have had diffiuculty with kidney stones. Often urethra is not wide enough to allow passaaage of stones that have been lodge in bladder and ready to be passed through the urethra. The Rosebud enlarges the urethra and allows the passage of a stone with greater ease, which may prevent more extensive surgery.

Exactly as described
This kit is a good deal since I originally bought my first sound a few years ago for $25. This kit contains 8 sounds for $53. granted I can only use the 3 smallest ones at this point, but that's not bad (3 sounds for $53). I will eventually try to use the 4th smalles one, but I know I won't be able to use anything larger than that.

Missing quality
For the price I expected these to be flawless, there where some manufacturing defects that would cause bodily harm. There are no returns for these, Amazon offered to replace them but I not question the quality and don't want them. Buyer beware.
