Went through it very fast, big font makes it very easy to read, but also quick to finish. I did expect it to have more legal tricks or tips but it seems to be introductory, and somewhat written for an audience meant to be a mid level worker in a big corporation, at least that was my impression.

This book is "the business acumen handbook". It is a great handbook discussing the corporate world and sure to be helpful for anyone looking to get involved with it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This excellent book replaces the '10-Day MBA' on my shelf...a must read for any and all product managers or anyone who wants to have a comprehensive understanding of how business works in 2024, or for anyone who wants to be more valuable to their leaders in their current company and create growth opportunities for themselves.

This is a great read for folks in their early career seeking to advance in business as well as for senior managers looking to develop talent. What I really like about this book is that it breaks down business acumen into the skills, behaviors, and capabilities that companies need to reach their goals. Steven Haines does an amazing job of taking some important career topics and striking a balance between keeping a good pace, yet making the topics easily digestible. I recommend this for any professional person that doesn't have a business education or even as a refresher tool for those that do. Plus the assessment included as part of the package can help you identify where your acumen is strong, or where you need to develop it further. We've already made this a must-read for the employees in our department. Five stars, would give six if i could.

I started to reading this book 2 weeks ago and it is breaking apart. Multiple pages are coming loose. I am an avid reader and have never had this issue with books.
