Overall it worked great but a couple things to keep in mind:I normally wear a Medium hat, but I ordered the Large and was glad I did. The fit is almost tight but worked great for the weekend and I didn't have a problem with too tight/too loose at all.The brim is not super wide but did OK keeping the sun off my face.I ordered the brown version and the color is just fine. The curvature of the brim really works well to keep the sun off your neck which is great, less so off your face and definitely not much coverage for your ears. That hat did go well with my Mountain Man outfit consisting of fringed leather pants, a canvas colored "work shirt" and leather belt with other accoutrements. Additionally, shooting off-hand was no problem wearing this hat but you should know that if you are shooting prone or off a bench (or through a low fort window as it were) the brim hits your neck and may obscure your sights.
