Tritan Wide Mouth BPA-Free Water Bottle, Clear, 16 oz

This is the smaller version of the very popular Nalgene 32 oz. Wide-Mouth bottle. This is half the capacity of that bottle. It has the same durability and the same leak-proof qualities of the larger bottle. So, why would you want a smaller bottle? Because there are times when carrying around a 32 ounce bottle is impractical. A small bottle will easily fit in a backpack. It takes up less space in portable cooler. This is the perfect size for a kid's lunch box. The truth is, unless you are going some place where water or drinks are not within easy access, you do not need to carry a 32 ounce bottle. For hiking yes, but office and lunch uses, you do not. Nalgene bottles come in wide mouths and narrow mouths. It is easier to drink from the narrow mouth. A child will have an easier time drinking from the smaller mouth and the chances of spilling the drink is lessened. A smaller mouth, theoretically, also makes the bottle more leak-proof than it already is. I say theoretical because I have never had a Nalgene bottle leak. However, the narrow mouth will be harder to clean. You have to be careful to clean out the bottle after every use. Be sure to empty the bottle, rinse it well with clean water, turn it upside down, and make sure it dries completely. You do not want mold, mildew, and bio-film growing on the inside. It will be impossible to clean it out. You can try bleach. I have thrown out a narrow mouth bottle because mold grew on the inside. I neglected to clean it after use. It was a dark, blue bottle. If you have to have a narrow mouth, get the clear version. You need to be able to see the inside and check it for mold. I bought this in the wide-mouth to avoid the hassle. I only buy the clear bottles now. Highly recommended. You really cannot go wrong with the Nalgene bottles. They are totally leak-proof. Their durability is second to none. The wide mouth makes it easy to clean the inside of the bottle.

This water bottle is great, think of the regular Nalgenes and minimize the bulk. The construction is there exactly like the 32 oz bottles. I personally bought this for when traveling, easier to bring on a plane, didn't have to worry about spilling it on myself when drinking in a car bc of the slightly smaller mouth, and it didn't weigh as much when full of water. Now after traveling I find myself bringing this bottle everywhere with me. Its following me around the house so that I continue my water consumption when at home. If you like the 32 oz bottles and want something a bit smaller and more convient to move about with then this one is for you. If you are looking to go hiking long distances with it then I wouldn't say this is for you bc you would have to fill up twice as often, which actually might give you good view points to take in the sights, so this water bottle is for you too. TLDR: high quality bottle with same durability as regular Nalgene, just smaller

I didn't think I could ever love a water bottle, but I love this one. Most water bottles are either too big or prone to leaks. I try to keep a glass of water handy around the house, but with 2 small kids, it's hard to do that and keep it where they won't accidentally spill it. This bottle never leaks and I don't feel like I'm lugging a canteen around with me. It's also perfect for quick trips to the park or just running errands as it fits in the cup holder of either my car or the kid's stroller. I even made tea directly in the bottle while I was sick a few weeks ago. I just heated the water up in the microwave, poured it into the bottle with a tea bag and screwed the cap on. The bottle never got too warm to hold and the tea stayed warm longer than if it had been in a mug. On top of all that, if it gets knocked over, played with or tossed around, I don't have to worry about this bottle leaking. EDIT: I've had this bottle for a little over 2 months now. A couple of weeks ago I was holding my son and he was holding this bottle. The bottle was about a third full of water and the cap was screwed on. He dropped it from a height of about 4 feet onto hardwood floor and the bottom of the bottle split open. I called Nalgene and they sent out a replacement no problem. Because of how much I love this bottle and how helpful Nalgene was, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one of their bottles, but I was surprised it broke from such a short fall. Since I've had this bottle, I've discovered two things about this size bottle that makes me like it even more. For starters, since it hold just a hair over 16 ounces, I can easily use it with single serve drink packets. Secondly, because it's about the same diameter as a coke can, this bottle fits perfectly in a can koozie. This is great since the bottle can tend to sweat a lot when I put iced drinks in it.

Great value for money, and durable and the use case is wide and the color was perfect. Durability I give it a 5 star for the bottle itself. For the cap however it can get worn down but it should last a very long time! I didn't taste anything strange so good BPA free bottle it seems. Please read description to make sure it is BPA free.

I'm into my second year with this bottle--two of them, to be specific. Things I like about it: (1) It holds roughly 15 ounces, so it's just about the right amount for me as far as something I want to carry around. (2) It's the wide-mouth version, so it's easy to fill from a pitcher, a water cooler, or even a drinking fountain or tap. The wide mouth also makes it possible to put ice cubes into it, and to take big gulps when you need them. (3) The cap is attached to the bottle, so you don't have to worry about losing it. (4) It's easy to clean. (5) It's lightweight. (6) It's BPA-free. My only complaint about it is that it comes covered with an odd, hazy plastic film that looks like it's supposed to be peeled off, and there were no instructions not to do so. However, several months after peeling it off, I noticed that the label and markings have started to come off and stick to my fingers, which can be awkward and not easy to get off your skin.

This is a great water bottle. It feels substantial and not at all flimsy or cheap. There is no taste of plastic which can happen with cheaper bottles. Unlike water bottles designed with narrow top's this one is easy to clean. There is nothing to get grubby over time - because of it's very simple design. I considered other designs but dismissed them because I suspect they will were either flimsy or fragile or might break because of moving parts or become difficult to keep clean. This can take a few knocks or be dropped without worry. I do not use this for running and I'm sure runners out there would realise this type of bottle is not really designed to be used while moving. For everyone else who can stop or pause their activity to take a drink then this classic water bottle is a great choice. Looks great in blue...

Negli ultimi anni ho acquistato diverse borracce Nalgene per sostituire le mie vecchie borracce in alluminio. Mi piace la qualità della plastica che sembra indistruttibile, lavabile in lavastoviglie, inodore e insapore. Il tappo largo è comodo per una migliore pulizia, e il sistema di chiusura senza guarnizione è ottimo. La tenuta è affidata a un profilo conico interno del coperchio e devo dire che funziona perfettamente, anche con una minima coppia di serraggio non esce una goccia e non ci sono guarnizioni in gomma che prima o poi sarebbero state da sostituire. Prodotto consigliato.

Ich bin von Nalgene schon überzeugt, nur wollte ich gerne zu einer Weithalsflasche wechseln, um diese besser reinigen zu können. Das klappt super. Kleine Anmerkung: Die Weithalsöffnung der 0,5l-Flasche ist kleiner als die der 1l-Flasche, also passen die Sipper-Flascheneinsatzdeckel hier nicht! Braucht man aber auch nicht. Ich habe die durchsichtige Flasche mit rotem Deckel gewählt und finde sie sehr schön. Gut zu transportieren, praktische Größe, gewohnte Qualität von Nalgene zu einem vernünftigem Preis.
