First, I almost NEVER write reviews... so something really has to dazzle me to get me this far!I take numerous medications that cause severe dry mouth, and no matter what I have tried in the past when I'd brush my gums would bleed very badly. I've been slowly getting away from chemicals and aiming for more natural products/treatments for myself lately, so I was very intrigued to see this great mix of essential oils, clays, and other natural healing components, that I know work, in Truthpaste.So, i got my little tub in the mail and as a daily consumer of internal clays, was ready for a gritty, earthy tasting brushing experience. Was I wrong! Very smooth feeling, not earthy tasting or gritty! Notes of cinnamon are what I tasted..and it didn't burn my dry mouth like regular mint crest. When i was done (theres no sulfate, so it doesn't foam and i didn't look like a rabid dog with bloody foam dripping from my mouth!) my teeth felt like they were fresh out of a dental cleaning, smooth but not coated in glycerin.. a true clean. I did not have any grit between my teeth as some reviewers have complained about. I also have my tounge pierced and the Truthpaste didn't hurt my piercing. Also, I used a regular toothbrush, and the leftover paste rinsed cleanly from my brush (I'll be getting a natural bamboo brush soon!) as eell as from my sink.But, best of all, after a week of using it twice a day, NO MORE BLEEDING GUMS! And my dry mouth seems to be getting better. It is pricey (I never thought I'd pay $17 for a small tub of toothpaste, but quality doesn't come cheap!) Well worth every penny. And i put just a thin layer on my brush, not a thick strip like tube pastes, so I have no doubt it will last me a good while. If your trying to avoid chemicals and increase your dental health, Truthpaste is what your looking for!

Pros - This toothpaste works well and I feel good about the ingredients. My teeth feel fairly clean all day long even after eating/drinking. I genuinely think this product is helping with remineralization. The container lasts for a pretty long time since you don't need much per use. Cons - This product doesn't taste bad while brushing my teeth but it just leaves a weird taste in my mouth when I'm done. I usually follow up with Uncle Harry's tooth drops to remove the lingering flavor. I think I still prefer a different natural brand, but this is a good alternative when I want to switch things up.

I ordered this in conjunction with Uncle Harry's Spearmint Toothpaste so that I could compare the two. The TruthPasate went into the trash bin. It was oily and tasted disgusting in comparison to Uncle Harry's, which I found tasted pretty darn similar to a normal natural toothpaste and is incredibly refreshing. My kid, who has vehemently refused to ever use anything like Crest or the regular junk, loved Uncle Harry's from the start.After about 6 weeks of use, my teeth are also much whiter (not using any other product aside from Uncle Harry's Toothpaste, although I'm keen to try their re-mineralization products next). That was a welcome surprise. Much less bad breath all day, too. I really look forward to brushing my teeth with Uncle Harry's.I also wondered about some of the ingredients in Truthpaste -- I don't with Uncle Harry's and there's a lot less ingredients, too boot. No comparison here, we are in love with Uncle Harry's and ordering more to have on hand.

I've only just started using Truth Paste, so I can not speak for long term oral health, however, I can already attest to a very clean result immediately after use! I love that it comes in a glass jar ~although it comes w a plastic lid, product is not in contact w lid & plastic lids on glass jars are difficult to avoid!~. I love that they are using organic oil and and clay & turmeric! I read that they use naturally sourced botanical extracts & herbs for their EO's, and use an excellent quality Colloidal Silver. Love that they have truly done their research to provide the healthiest ingredients for optimal oral health, support fair trade & produce their product responsibly in the USA. I began the search for a sincerely healthy toothpaste in an effort to rid my home of Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS, SLSe), parabens, glycerin (from where it doesn't belong!) Flouride, TEA, PEG's and other noxious ingredients dubbed 'safe for consumption.' I was thrilled when I found this company before even using the product! Love the ingred's list posted atop for us to see & appreciate! I make my own organic soaps, creating my own recipes & make organic body butters as well as other personal care products. I was planning to create a toothpaste including clay, oils & bamboo charcoal among other botanicals, but finding TruthPaste gve me a perfect option to improve on my family's health! I like the taste of this more than I anticipated upon opening, considering the topnotes of clove EO, as clove just isn't my fave, yet honestly, I am learning to love the taste! My teeth & tongue feel very clean with each use and I like to make a "mouthwash" after brushing by placing appx 1/2 tsp in my mouth and adding water to freshen my breath & mouth as a whole. One thing I recommend is to remove TruthPaste from jar with a dry, clean finger or small spoon to avoid adding water to this product as well as avoiding cross contamination of germs from multiple tooth brushes. Keeping water out is important b/c although this co uses Rosemary EO for it's preserving qualities <3, any introduction of water to a product w/o a broadband preservative can become breeding ground for staph, molds, and many other undesirables. The antibacterial & antiviral qualities of the EO's. turmeric & Colloidal Silver will help in the battle, but it's best to try to keep water out whenever possible. I mention this as I am immunodeficient & know there are others who have to be aware. Hope you enjoy TruthPaste as much as I am!!

I didn't mind this stuff at all, just didn't last long enough, and paying as much as i did for a toothpaste, i expected more. I just didn't really see or feel a difference. It has a good taste and cleans your teeth well. I just feel like i can get the same clean with something less expensive.
