All around pleasing
This item is well made. All the extra parts are packaged separately and simple to keep organized and clean. Functionality is easy enough. I preferred the wired connection to my phone as opposed wireless. No glitches or freezing. Very nice case that holds everything compact. Light weight and easy to work with. The camera angle takes some practice yet easy to navigate once the directions are sorted out. That’s more to do with human effort than the product. Very clear picture!! I returned another product in less than 24 hours because of the absurdity of it. So I opened this with a great amount of speculation. This was an overall pleasant purchase. I cannot speak on longevity of this product, only on over initial purchase and use.

Worked great, better customer service
I have had my otoscope for just over a year. 15 months to be precise. It has never given my troubles. I was in the middle of an assessment, when I changed to look in the other ear the camera went completely whitewashed and I couldn't see. I started trouble shooting. Reinstalled the app, reset my phone, disconnected and reconnected the device. It could no longer connect to the device. Any way I reached out to the company even though the warranty period had passed. I got a quick email from AI. Next communication I received was a confirmation email that a replacement was on it's way and another email for a coupon on future purchases. I don't think I ever spoke to a real person but it was taken care of within hours. I have no idea what went wrong but I love a company that stand's behind their product. Aside from this- I never had any issues. The app was easy to install initially. The instructions were always clearly written. Good quality and easy to clean. I do always need an extra hand to take pictures. I deal with kids so it's nice to hand them the device and ask them to press the button when I tell them. It helps with anxiety being a part of the process. If you're examining an ear properly you usually need a hand to pull back the ear and another for the scope. If you want to save an image, you need the extra. I would definitely buy from this company again. Worth the investement

Easy setup and works as expected
I purchased this not so much for ear wax but because I have psoriasis in my ear, and the skin flakes sometimes drop deeply in my ear. Q-tips would only push them more deeply in, and sometimes flushing with water doesn't do the trick. I've been using the Teslong otoscope to extract them, and it works perfectly. The setup with my phone was seamless (much easier than with other, similar products I've used), and the picture was clear and bright. The only reason I haven't given the product five stars is that the attachment included is made of fairly brittle plastic; a metal tip would have been more effective (but probably not safe to use ... so I understand why the manufacturers might not have wanted to include a metal one). I'm sure any ear doc would caution against using something like this on one's own, but sometimes you've got something stuck in your ear and you just can't get to a doctor. Use it carefully, don't scrape your ear and you'll be fine. It's a good product at a reasonable price point.

One of those Amazon purchases you won't regret! :)
Love this otiscope... lots of fun & usefulness, especially for how little it costs. Highly recommend it! Several people I've showed it to (even a relative who's s a surgeon, was super impressed with it!) Works great - I'm using the "wired" (not wireless) version of the otiscope - and using it with a USA locked (not jail broken) Samsung Note 9 phone. Since android OS can be a little complicated, here are the steps to connect it if you're having trouble getting it connected (takes seconds to do them all - easy!) . 1) On your android phone, turn on "USB Debugging" (via your phone's "Settings-->"Developer options")... 2) then open up the companion app ("iUVC Pro" in the Google Play Store)... 3) Connect the provided USB cable to the otiscope and then to your phone, 4) THEN turn on the otiscope (small button 1 on the side of unit)... 5) and then ALSO turn on the otiscope's light (2nd button on the side... the otiscope's power on/off & its light's power on/off are 2 separate buttons on the side - and the light has 3 brightness levels you can toggle through)... 6) then on the iUVC Pro app screen, tap the upper-left icon (looks like 3 monitors connected by lines)... 7) then tap USB from the popup, 8) then slide the slider over to allow for USB tethering. 9) Then go "back" to the app (with back buttons, or by app-switching back to the iUVC screen), and your phone's screen should show you the otiscope image it's seeing. If it does not, or if the image is really dark or "black", make sure you've turned on the otiscope's light! (step 5). 10) When you're done using the otiscope, turn USB Debugging back off (it won't hurt your phone to leave it on, but some other apps you use may not like it to be on when using those apps - the only one I've ever noticed not liking it on is a banking app for fingerprint sign-on purposes). Tips: While using, have the otiscope plugged in to power (use another cable) and charging while using it, if you plan to use it for more than like 15 minutes (believe it or not, it's easy to use this for more than 15 minutes! It's so much fun). Fun with a child also, for looking at anything really close up. :) Also - you don't need to use the black otiscope covers if you don't want to (to me, it's a a better view without them!) - just use normal human adult intelligence about how far to go into the ear canal, if using it in an ear. Enjoy!

Pick one up during the recent Prime Day as part of the 'Lightning Deals'. Ordered on Tuesday evening and delivered on Thursday 10am. That's quick considering we are in a (COVID) lock down and all. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. This unit is to replace an old Japanese ear scope (>10 years old) that is no longer working and cost almost twice as much when new. The image is very clear and I had none of the issues reported by others in 'Reviews'. I am using an iPhone 8 Plus and the software worked as described in the user manual. So 5 stars from me. My only suggestion to improve the product is to mark on the handle, which way is 'up' so that the camera can be held with the correct orientation. This is very minor, and all I did was to put a black dot using a permanent marker (Sharpie) .

The order process was outstanding. Considering the time of the year, it was delivered incredibly fast. The camera works as described. It seems to be very good quality. I purchased a similar non medical camera a while back. It was cheap, and would not work with a Samsung phone.

It actually produces quite good images of your ear canal. It's a bit fiddly to set up the app. On my wife's iPhone I couldn't get the image to rotate so it was a bit small but on my Android it fills the whole screen. Looks as good as I could ever see using an ottoscope, and the benefit is that more than one person can see at a time. Comes in a nice package to store it away between uses.

The product did not work on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 6. So I returned the product for a refund. I am sure this is a really good product based on the reviews, but unfortunately It didn’t work with my iPhone.
