50FT Expandable Hose - Flexible Garden Hose with 3 Layer Latex Cores, 8 Function Spray Nozzle, 3/4" Solid Brass Connectors, Portable for Gardening, Lawn, Car & Pet Washing

I've had one of these hoses before, albeit from a different source and it lasted 12 months. It was left outside in all weathers and the cats would attack it when it expanded, so 12 months was actually pretty good going. If you want to use this hose as a commercial window cleaner, dragging it here there and everywhere then look elsewhere, these hose won't withstand the punishment. However, treat it with some kindness and it's awesome. I wasn't expecting much in the way of quality for the connectors and spray nozzle at this price-point but metal connectors and a reasonable nozzle is what you'll get. It expands when you fill, and contracts when you turn the pressure off. A magical feat to behold! I've bought this one to for washing the car, using the tap at the front of the house, rather than dragging the somewhat long, heavy, industrial-looking garden hose for the back garden, through the house. If you want the hose to last, I wouldn't leave it out in all weathers, as I suppose you're probably not supposed to do with most hoses. So, I keep it in the garage, bring it out when I need to and put it back again. Once disconnected and empty, it's lightweight, easily portable and even came with it's own pouch to store it in. It does the job for what I want it to do, very well.

After the long hot summer I was fed up pulling out my traditional green garden hose and trailing it around the outside of house(corner plot and tap at back)for lawn , car and power washing , it was so bulky,always had a kink restricting water supply , really dirty and messy when reeling back . This new expanding hose is the answer to my prayers, lightweight , easy to handle , returns to its original size very well after use ( all water must be drained out) and had a great over the tap holder for ease of storage. It comes with brass connectors and fittings (better than my old plastic ones that were easily cracked) .On using this expanding hose I find it a great all rounder for all the outside jobs that require water.A storage bag is also provided for winter months .Its now a pleasure not a task when I want to use garden hose , I used to be frustrated thinking about the job I would have winding back my old hose , it always tangled and my arm got sore winding round (an age thing ) not anymore ! It’s now a pleasure and my grandkids love to use it in the garden too on a summers day to keep cool ! They enjoy there play and my garden gets watered at same time it’s a win win . Highly recommend this product .

I've bought several expanding hoses, all of which have split within three months. I'd have to say that this one was sturdier than the others, as it lasted a full six months before doing so, rendering it unusable. At least the burst pipe happened outdoors, rather than while trailing through the house toward the front garden. Some day I hope to find an expanding hose which doesn't explode. Update to original review: The latest hose lasted five months before a bulge developed, followed by another watery explosion. As this explosion happened inside the house, with the hose being trailed from the back garden to the front I've docked a star, bringing it down to three. I'm still dreaming of finding an expanding hose which doesn't explode. Update to second update The latest replacement lasted five weeks before splitting. Six days after the return window closed. I've given up on this brand and have ordered another type.

As flexible hoses go this one is better than most, meaning that's it nearly two years old and still expands and doesn't leak. It goes from the back door tap, along the back of the house, down the side, across the road and I can water my neighbours garden. Brilliant hose !!

Ok, the only downside is it looks a little weird and shrivelly, but wow! This is the perfect garden hose so far. The fittings are excellent quality, the shrinking expanding thing turns out to be amazing, and it just does the job really well. I’m a convert. No more fighting with very long garden hoses trying to roll them back up or having them lying around all over the place. Also the perfect hose for lazy gardeners who don’t like tidying up after jobs - the hose pretty much ours itself away for you and saves all that effort you need to coil a normal one. I will say, it only works with proper connectors (I borrowed a friends one once and tried using it with a sink tap adaptor- the pressure wasn’t sufficient to expand the hose) so that’s something to consider.

We received the hose in December 2019, and really enjoyed using it. Initially very little but these last 2 months about every other week, washing the car... A very practical hose, taking very little space when stored. Unfortunately, the hose burst this week. There wasn't any extra stress on it, as it was just laying in the garden, and I was getting ready to use it, when it suddenly burst, and that was it.... I am not sure if this was an irregular soft spot or if this happens with more customers, but I was not very happy when this happened. It is also unclear how to contact the seller as there is a 12 months warranty... but how? Basically a very good hose, but unfortunate a bad burst making the hose unusable after 6 months.

Great idea but doesn’t last long … too flimsy!

Lasted almost 5 years before it sprang a couple of pinhole leaks. In that time been dragged over lawns and driveways and concrete paths. Always carefully stored afterwards in it's bag. I do rather think that it's my fault there leaks have happened as I left it over a wall for a week and there's a possibility something took a nibble. Will try PTFE tape but I'll need a replacement soon. A shame they are not available as if May 25. Brass connectors are quality too.
