Timer with Grounding Terminal
These timers are rather simple. Some are better than others. This one quietly operates while the motor and gears of others can be heard from across the house. Set up is easy. The main reason I opted for this particular unit is that it has a grounding receptacle. Not only that but it has one on EACH SIDE! Bonus! Much more versatile than others on the market.I use these for a variety of evening accent lighting. I bought 3 and would gladly buy more if needed.

Very disappointed
I had a timer like this connected to a lamp when I was a kid to wake me in the morning instead of an alarm. It was awesome to not have a heart attack every morning from a sudden loud buzzer! I still don't like normal alarms so I decided to do the same for my kids. But this unit is extremely unreliable. Sometimes it will turn on or off when it is supposed to, but sometimes it won't. Being cheaper than other units I expected it to lose time or perhaps run a little fast, and I don't mind adjusting the time every few days. But I needed it to turn on *every* morning, not just sometimes.

Do it the easy way & cheaper too!
Perfectly simple! Forget all that digital nonsense and set your timer the old and best way. I use this little guy to control my sump light for my reef tank, I like to have it run for 2 hours and off for 1 hour from midnight to 8am. Push the little toggles down and plug it in, set the current time and let it run. If the power goes out there is no need to fuss with losing your programs, just turn the dial back to the current time and its reset, ready to run your programmed times over and over. No muss no fuss (what's muss?), sure its not fancy but I want to spend as little time as possible messing with supposedly 'automated' products that need more tending to then they are worth. Love it, dual outlets, love it, override switch, love it!

Don't waste your money
Despite the poor reviews that others have posted, I decided based on the price I would order a pair of these and I should get at least one working one. I was wrong. One does not power on and does not more at all. The other one powers on, is louder then I would expect but I can live with the noise, but it does not calculate time accurately. Each day I loose 30 minutes so by the end of a week it is 3 1/5 hours off so it is useless to use to turn on and off lights.Don't waste your money

Great little timer but might be inconsistent
This little timer started out great but within a week I was having to reset the time every night as it would be 5-7 hours fast. I just received a new one and I'm hoping this one is more consistent as it's exactly what I need.

Gives peace of mind
This is so easy to use and set up for timed use. It does make a noise like a timer would, which can be annoying, but I only use this when I am out of town, so that part doesn't quite matter anyway. So easy and gives a peace of mind to know it is working as it should while I'm away from home.

Does the job
It does the job but it has one problem the dial moves easily one wrong move when trying to set the timer

Didn't last long.
I'm pretty disappointed. I bought this to control the lights for my bearded dragon enclosure back in July 2015. I've been noticing that it hasn't been turning on or off every time it should. I moved things around, thinking maybe the tank stand was accidentally being pushed against it, causing the dial to not turn. Unfortunately that didn't make a difference, it seems to be getting stuck all on its own. I'm going to have to replace it. I wouldn't bother purchasing this again.
