It works. I can't say it's safer or better than Denatured Alcohol, but it does work.
Cleaned the heads and rollers on my vintage cassette and open reel decks. I'm not sure it really worked any better than a bottle of denatured alcohol would have, but it did work. It only took a couple dabs on some Q-Tips. Barely enough to make a dent in the bottles. If it doesn't dry up over the years it'll be enough to last a lifetime. Then again, denatured alcohol gives much more product for a lot less, and works as well. This is supposed to be "safer" and work "better." Forty years ago, alcohol is all I ever used, and I used it frequently. It never damaged anything and I used tape all the time. Now, I pull out some of those old tapes once in a while, but primarily just stream Internet radio. I may never need to clean those heads again. The decks were in a box in the garage for over 20 years. They were wrapped well and came out looking like new. They even had tapes in them that played perfectly... before cleaning! After cleaning, I notice no difference. I must have cleaned them shortly before they were packed. I did get a little residue off, but not much. You'd think after that long in storage the heads would be filthy and the rollers hard as a rock. Instead, it was the control knobs that gave me more trouble. A little DeoxIT Fader F5 restored them almost to like new condition. I still have a little noise, but not enough to warrant tearing the decks down and doing a proper cleaning. The amp, on the other hand, was torn down, cleaned and restored, and could use a second treatment. But we're talking about nearly forty year old vintage gear. It sounds even better today than it did in the early 80's. The old speakers didn't survive. The membranes surrounding the drivers dry rotted to dust in the Arizona heat. The new speakers are less than a quarter the size, and sound amazing.

Cleans perfectly. Great customer service.
The head cleaner is great, just grab a Q-tip, dip it in the liquid and clean. I’ve used it on vintage open reel tape recorders, cassette players and 8 track players. Cleans perfectly. The pinch roller cleaner is good too. I’ve onlh used it on the open reel deck, and it made the pinch roller look like new.CUSTOMER SERVICE NOTEGreat customer service. When I originally received this product I only got the pinch roller cleaner. I wrote the seller and immediately responded. He apologized for the mistake and inmediately sent a new set with expedited shipping, and told me to keep the extra pinch roller cleaner.

cleaning
Seems to work ok. I wasn't thrilled about applying the roller cleaner and letting it sit before cleaning it off. Previous cleaners I've used clean and condition as you apply them.

Seems to work with no residue or harsh chemicals.
Have used the tape head cleaner several times on my TEAC deck. Seems to do the job with no residue on the heads. Doesn't appear to have any harsh chemicals and it smells good. Haven't used the pinch roller restoration/cleaner, a bit hesitant that it may damage the roller. Will try to find an old worn roller to try it on.

This Stuff Really Works
I was rebuilding a tape recorder built in 1963. The rubber drive belts had completely broken down and turned into a messy goo. This cleaner was great at dissolving the goo and getting the parts clean. The pinch roller cleaner worked equally well. I was a little hesitant about the high price, but I'm glad I purchased this. It does work as advertised.

fixes your reel to reel pinch roller
I was going to purchase a new pinch roller for my reel to reel. 70 bucks! I was skeptical about the pinch roller cleaner but gave it a shot. that "dragging" of the tape you encounter is due to no grip available on the pinch roller. old. dry. this stuff made the pinch roller like brand new again and my tape player has never "dragged" again. i am telling you this stuff is like magic. instructions are simple and you will be amazed at the difference. i am so impressed!

Good stuff
This stuff works really well. I repair small multitrack recorders and use these regularly. No complaints. Let the red stuff sit awhile on the rollers and soak in. Then spend a little time wiping it off and the rubber will be satiny and pliable the way it should be.

Best cleaner I have used.
This is pricey, but it is the best product I have used at this time.
