I bought one for my very old queen sized bed. I am totally due for a new bed, and haven't taken the leap yet in doing so. I have a mattress pad on there already, but I still feel the effects of age (the bed, and my body), and how I toss and turn from dips, lumps, aches, (ok, an two giant labs smooshed up against me). So I bought this after reading some really good reviews. Now I am adding mine.This mattress pad cover looks and feels impressive. It is soft, thick, and has some loft. The cover has deep pockets, certainly able to accommodate various thickness in mattresses. The baffle box design and stitching will hold the contents in place. It looks really nice just on the bed by itself. I really hated having to cover it up with an old fitted sheet, but alas I did.Now I didn't change anything else- I still kept my lumpy mattress with thin mattress pad, put this on top of all that, then put my sheet back on. My bed felt.. normal. It just made it feel comfortable again. It somehow added some firmness, yet is was still quite soft and comfy. I did not feel any additional heat from it, which is great. I didn't toss and turn from an achy back. I didn't feel like I was rolling down off the edge of the bed, nor into the usual pits in my old mattress. I pretty much just simply stayed in place. ArrivalIt is heavy when it arrives but it is well packaged, just make sure when you are opening the box you do not harm the topper.2. CostThe cost for this was very low compared to other toppers I was looking at; this is not something that has to concern you with this topper because it still has good quality material.3. UsesSo, my husband has back pain and needs something that offers a little give when he sleeps, our mattress is dated, and we needed something to extended the life of it without breaking the bank, this was a nice solution.4. ComfortWe have both found that this topper is very comfortable. It has helped ease much of the back pain caused from our mattress and is thick enough that it is very comfortable. The material isn’t firm which is what we wanted since our mattress is so firm.5. CoolnessOne of the main concerns with toppers is the amount of heat that they add to your body. This topper is well ventilated and allows for airflow throughout your sleep, keeping your sleeping temperature steady throughout the night.6. QualityThe quality of the material I prefer to the brand name topper I have previously. The old topper was a thick and heavy material that took ages to dry if I washed it, this one is lighter material and the filling is plush and easy to wash. I can wash and dry the topper in one cycle on my machines.To summarize, I am glad I purchased this, it added to our quality of living because it aided our sleep.
