If you're going to trickler power, by all means use a trickler. It works as the old one did.

I took some time to study the various tricklers in this class. While I believe they all have limitations, the RCBS had the least.Pros:- Weighted Base: Not your average weighted base; this one will stay still.- Angle Option: You have the ability to adjust the angle of the trickler, if needed.- Nozzle Extender: If needed, you can extend the reach of the nozzle.- Fine Touch: While not perfect, it does allow you to get down to 1-2 pieces at a time.Cons:- Like others, "stick" powder (vs. ball) can jam the mechanism on occasion. A little extra umph on the turn breaks it free, but could cause you to drop more grains than expected.- Prime Time: It took a bit to get enough powder in the extended nozzle to start trickling. Not really a con, but worth mentioning that you need to be patient.I used it to load .300 WM cartridges with H4350, RL19, and IMR4350. All worked fine. This is a great little unit!

For the most part, RCBS makes a quality product and this no exception. If you are using a beam scale you will need a powder trickler to top off your charge. This has a nice base that is stable and adjustable for height. The metal construction assures you won't have static cling and it is easy to empty after use. Should last a lifetime.
