TYCLeft Fog Light Assembly Compatible with 2005-2009 Dodge Dakota

I was already replacing my entire front suspension so the wheel well trim was already removed for this job. It gave me easy access to replace the OEM originals for an 08 Grand Cherokee. These were a perfect fit and very easy to install!

Pros: The light fits just like OEM, had a good beam pattern and appears to be well made, with the exception noted below.Cons: The vertical adjustment doesn't work as delivered. If you'll look closely at the picture, you'll see the adjustment screw runs back to the bracket and through a white, square, plastic nut. The nut is retained by two black "fingers" which are part of the bracket that attaches to the bumper. The "fingers" are not connected to each other at the top. As a result, when you turn the adjustment screw, the torque on the nut spreads the "fingers" and the nut turns, resulting in no adjustment. I thought the first one I got was defective, but the replacement did the same thing. I solved the problem by lubing the screw threads with silicon and wrapping a "twisty" from a bread wrapper around the front of the "fingers" over the screw, then around the back under the screw. It provided enough tension to hold the nut against the torque from the adjustment screw. I realize the "twisty" will corrode away soon, but I don't anticipate having to adjust the light again. You could probably use a small zip-tie. TYC should have modified the mold for the bracket to connect the two "fingers" at the top, thereby solving the problem.

I bought these to replace the cracked factory ones on my Jeep. They look and fit like brand new factory ones.I had moisture issues with one light, but was able to easily fix them. There is a rubber cap on the back that was slightly loose. I waited for a hot dry day and the moisture dried out, so I secured the cap. I have had no moisture problems since.The vertical adjustment was not functional as it arrived (mentioned in other reviews). This can be solved by adding washers to the screw. I actually used rubber ones and the lights adjust fine now.Were it not for these two minor issues, I would have given five stars.FYI - they look great with silverstar bulbs.

The fogs lights are a perfect fit. The snap right in and plug right into the factory wiring. The lights are very nice looking. I haven't used them yet, I still need to get the multi turn-signal switch for them to work. (kills me that some jeeps don't just come equipped. Its a Jeep!). As for compatibility and quality of the product I give them a perfect score.

Inexpensive and easy to install - if you have a bit of patience. You have to remove the grill and front bumper and detach the fender flares. It's easy though and they look great.

I am still amazed at the quality of these lights for the price. It is really a fantastic bargain. I bought them to add fog lights to my 2009 Grand Cherokee (which is really easy btw) and everything worked great. They even came with bulbs! I'm a big fan.

This unit is an exact replacement of the factory fog lamp for my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee at a much lower price than the OEM part. Replacing it is a very simple process. Just make sure to aim it properly after installation.
