Dreamfarm Clongs | Non-Scratch, Stainless-Steel Tongs with Silicone Heads | Red, 12 Inches

I purchased a Ninja Foodi 12-in-One cooker, and it has a porcelain, non-stick cooking pot. I'm told they're easy to scratch. Sure enough, I made a little scratch just using a fork and, not wanting to do that again, I bought the Dreamfarm Clongs. These things are great! Not only am I free from the worry of making scratches on my non-stick surfaces, but the design is genius --- no schmutz on the counter as the heads sit up from it nicely. Also, the locking mechanism is great! The materials are high-quality, and it's obvious these things are going to last. I'll be buying the smaller ones to go with these as well. Highly recommend.

I bought these tongs... they are amazing. The design is great and they work perfectly... until they don't. The push button to "unlock" the tongs just stopped working. Nothing happened. They didn't fall and break. They didn't get burned. They just stopped. And they lasted less than a year.I tried finding a way to contact someone to replace a part or fix them, but to no avail... so My last resort was here...Maybe someone will reach out and either tell Me how to fix them, they will get replaced, or they will confirm that these are, in fact, just over-priced disposable tongs...

I was looking for tongs that wouldn't scratch the surface for the pan or dish. These work great. My only problem was the price. They are expensive but they should last.

Wanted a set of these forever and just recently got them as a gift to myself. The concept of what they are is so great. But in practice, I don't know if they've gotten the details right. The grip on objects does not feel solid or sure to me. I have a set of Kitchenaid tongs (they are old - who knows if they even still make this model) which have a much better spring action and grip, and fit far more comfortably into my hands. The Dreamfarm model just doesn't grab on to things as well. Also, one of the things that interested me about this product was how the open/close release lock on the back was a click mechanism as opposed to the tab that you have to manually push and pull. Unfortunately in practice I found that this thing just gets stuck all the time and doesn't work, and the only reliable way to click it open and closed is to hit it hard against my ribs or hips! Overall for the price it doesn't feel particularly well built, it feels kind of cheap.

So easy to use. Great for use in Teflon pan.

Tap the bottom to open, tap the bottom to close! Only one hand needed to operate. I love my red Clongs. Actually, I love ALL my dreamfarm tools

i really want to like this tongs, the hold up off the counter feature is ok but the tap to lock/unlock is really cool, and they are strong enough to actually put some force on them, there are only 2 things i don't like, one i knew about, the silicon coated, um, grabbers, i guess. the silicone gets super slick as soon as it gets wet or oily which covers pretty much all cooking situations, but that is what it is. i would like to see an all metal grabber option though. and the real thing i don't like is that the edges of the metal feel very sharp and it makes them a bit uncomfortable to hold and use. the sharp edges are even worse since the way you lock and unlock them is to hold them and have to push the back tip against something, putting sliding pressure exactly where your hands are gripping the sharp edges.i am going to break out some tools and see if i can polish them a little smoother myself to see if that will help. if i think about it i will add to this after trying that for a bit.

Not as ergonomic as I would hope. To be fair my hands are quite large but the rounded edges feel as though my hand are just getting ready to slip off. They don’t but they feel like they will.

I had a pair of black Clongs that lasted me about 5 years before the mechanism started sticking. This new one doesn't feel quite as sturdy as the last one. When clicked into the "closed" position, there's more gap than before (they stay partially open by about half an inch). It's not really an issue, but isn't quite as good as before.

This product looks great. It works brilliantly too. A tenner for a set of tongs is a little steep but I plumped for this one given other reviews and that our toddler snapped our ten-year-old teflon tongs in half, so we needed a sturdier pair. The "industrial" tag is due to the click to lock-shut mechanism feeling like it's going to pinch your skin if you're not careful, like you'd need to use gloves to handle it. The spring on them is pretty full on too but very useful. Overall a very good buy (if you don't mind spending the money)!

Works perfectly to minimise drips and messes.

I would give a five star if the handle where solid, they are a open tube and cleaning can be an issue.

These are just annoying I'm afraid, not easy to control, ended up just throwing them in the bin, bit of a gimmick.
