My students love the National Geographic series.

I have a girl obsessed with animal books who aspires to be a pet vet someday so upon discovering this line of books I have been getting them for her. They are filled with facts and great pictures, not too long so as to hold a child's attention better and not overwhelm them but very beneficial information. My girl also loves the little funnies and jokes included with them. We all rather enjoyed learning about the Meerkats.

Great little book for the younger children. As one of the six most intelligent mammals (humans, Dolphins, Orcas, Hyenas, meerkats, Orangutans), it is a joy to watch the various familial interactions. Of course, the pictures one can see are extremely entertaining. The expressions are priceless & sitting atop a photogs head is one of the great pix one can find —- not to mention the NatGeo films available on YouTube.

A leveled reader, gorgeous pictures, and information about an animal! You can't go wrong with National Geographic readers. My son has been asking for this meerkat book since he saw it on the back cover of the elephants book we got (level 1- you read/I read). I liked the elephant book better, but this is wonderful too!

Very interesting, I had no idea such animasl existed.

These National Geographic readers are so exceptional. I have purchased many of them from animal topics to robots, space, etc. Our pre-school grandson loves them and has learned so much and always welcomes a new book with a new topic.

great little information book for young children

I purchased this as a gift for a Meerkat lover. She is not a child, but National Geographic style is easily enjoyed by everyone! She has enjoyed learning more about Meerkats and the photographs are stunning.

These books are full of colour and very simple to read for Kindergarteners. Pre-readers is best starting out. Level 1 is good for grade 1. These are excellent learning books AND little readers
