This area is so endangered now this very minute...
...the book shows us why we must take action to prevent the pipeline and anything else that would encroach on the last of a time-before-time wonderland. Wolves who fish for salmon? Who knew? Buy the book, go to Pacific Wild on line and rejoice that they're still here but for how long?

A must for nature & wolf lovers
Do you love nature? Does learning about wildlife appeal to you? Are you a fan of wolves? Then The Sea Wolves: Living Wild in the Great Bear Rainforest is an ideal pick for you. I'm a huge fan of all three so picking up this book from the library was a must for me. It's definitely one of my favorites now. I love how easy it is to read; a ten year old can learn as much from this book as a forty year old. And who can forget the stunning, mesmerizing photographs? I was held in awe learning about not only the amazing sea wolves but about the Great Bear Rainforest and the other animals and plant life that inhabit it. However, the ending was bittersweet to me. I love the author's message that we must protect our wildlife at all costs. But it saddens me to think that there are so many people that don't want to preserve it. They would prefer to eradicate all wolves because they falsely perceive them to be monsters. But we share so many similarities with them. Maybe that's why I love this book so much. Even though we have our differences, we still have so many similarities, more than we think. A must for wolf and nature lovers.

This is an excellent resource. The content of this book is spot on - for readers of all ages, too. Mr. McAllister's photography is nothing short of magnificent. If you love books about wildlife, this is one you want for your collection. And, it makes a wonderful gift for the holidays. Ian McAllister is the Conservation Director of Pacific Wild. There is much going on in British Columbia right now that threatens the Great Bear Rainforest ecosystem and its wild inhabitants, including its coastal wolves and bears. Pacific Wild's website its found at http://pacificwild.org/ Check it out for the most comprehensive news and information. This book will certainly help the reader understand the need to learn more about this beautiful ecosystem and its wild inhabitants that face serious challenges in the 21st century.

Well Illustrated
My thirteen year (soon to be) old daughter has taken a shine to wolves. I reckon she'll be over the moon when she gets this for her birthday.

Good Book. Well put together. Lovely photographs.
I bought this book because I am working on a photography book myself and love looking at other author's work for inspiration and ideas. I think the photographs in this book are good (some are a bit blurry) but overall, very interesting subject. I love how the book is sprinkled with facts about these beautiful creates and the environment they inhabit. Very good job. The book is high quality, glossy cover and pages.
