Great read
I'm not a golfer or a golf fan but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It gives the reader insight into the travails of professional golfers and their rigorous travel schedules and their crazy lives and in this particular case the reader learns about a likeable, colorful professional golfer from the 60s, Tony Lema. It's a great human interest story. The writer lays it all out chronologically, making it easy to read. Anyone who enjoys biographies, particularly of sports stars, will enjoy this book.

Forgotten greatness.
Tony Lema was one of the shining stars responsible for bringing the game of golf to the masses in the 1960s. As charismatic as he was talented, Lema rose from hardscrabble circumstances to become, for to brief a time, one of he games great players. Larry Bausch’s biography, Uncorked, captures Lema’s charm, style and grace. Highly recommended.

There has to be more.
The life of Tony Lema was colorful and could have been constructed more eloquently. Not a particularly good golf book.

Great book - Terrible ending
Reading “Uncorked: The Life and Times of Champagne Tony Lema was a joy from the start until the expected, but no-less heartbreaking end. Larry Baush chronicles a golf journey that was unique and stunning and ended far too soon. From juvenile delinquent to a golfer at the top of his game, Tony Lema was a lovable human. He had that intangible charisma that allowed him to befriend almost everyone he met. And Baush captures the magic and the glamor that Tony Lema lived.I say the book’s ending was terrible only because of the way Tony and his wife died unexpectedly and unnecessarily in a tragic plane crash at the peak of his career.Baush handles the end deftly. I highly recommend this book. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.

. The tour was a colorful place. I would recommend this book so people can learn about a man who did things the right way.

In depth and fascinating-toast to author and Lema alike!
This is a fabulous story, well told. It is obvious much research was undertaken, and put together in a very readable, entertaining flow. A great book for golf lovers like myself, but a very interesting life for anyone to read about. Thank you to the author for undertaking telling this cool story of someone that most golf lovers haven’t heard of, but is worthy of attention. Would make a great movie!
