The best cooking glove I have ever used
For years I have been using the fabric heat resistant gloves and they have worked well in most cases. Where they failed was in situations where I had to handle food directly, or when they got wet. The Ekogrips worked exceptionally in both those cases and others. I decided to try the gloves in a few tests to see how they worked. First off I bought the one size fits most, and the gloves fit well. I am 6'0 tall a little over 200 lbs. My hands are 7.5" from the base of my palm to the tip of my middle finger and 4" wide. The gloves are thick and stiff, but I am able to grabbed a turkey baster or a mop no problem. After a minute of flexing my fingers in them they were no problem. The first test I did was to grabbed a paper wrapped brisket. The internal temp of the brisket was 195 degrees and I was able to grabbed the brisket no problem. I actually wrapped the brisket with the gloves on. After the meat had been smoking a few hours I pulled it our to wrap it in butcher's paper. Usually, this was a precarious task because it is difficult to get a tight wrap with gloves that aren't heat resistant. After a few seconds your fingers start to burn and you have to tolerate it while you are wrapping it. After that success I started looking at other tasks I could use the gloves for. The next thing I did was use them while I scrubbed my hot grill with foil; once again they worked perfectly. Then I used them when I was cleaning my cast iron pan. Every week or so I make cacio e pepe. The clean up involves heating water in the pan and scrubbing it with a chain mail scrubber. Inevitably the water and the scrubber get very hot. My fabric oven gloves do not work when wet. The Ekogrips have no problem with the tasks. These are great gloves. I wish I had ordered them years ago. No more will I fumble with whole chickens and turkeys when I pull them out of a roaster. These gloves make my hands the perfect cooking utensil. And they are dishwasher safe!

One plus in addition to their shielding your hands from heat is that they're waterproof and easy to clean
There are many different gloves that are similar, if not identical to these available, but it's hard to imagine any other seller having more helpful or committed customer service. The gloves themselves are quality and perform as advertised. One plus in addition to their shielding your hands from heat is that they're waterproof and easy to clean, as the silicone repels water pretty well. This means they're immune from grease, bbq sauce, marinades and other various drips and splatters that tend to soil other types of oven mitts quickly. This is the main reason I purchased these, as I was tired of cloth oven mitts getting soiled and how difficult they were to clean.... and the bonus of these being actual gloves .. rather than clumsy mittens. I ordered the size L/XL first wanting to avoid them being difficult to put on or take off as I knew that silicone can be a little grabby. When I got them, they had about a 1/4 inch of empty space on each finger, which made them a bit clumsy. Before I even thought of doing anything about it, I got an email from Jolly Green Products asking if I was happy with my purchase with a link and email to contact them if I wasn't for any reason. I wrote and explained that I thought I probably should have gotten the smaller size. They responded quickly and said I'd bought the smaller size already. A bit of checking showed that I hadn't, and their records were mistaken. I let them know and without even checking back with me, they issued a refund for the cost of the gloves! I then bought the smaller size and they fit perfectly. Outstanding customer service and a good product and I greatly appreciate both. The ONLY thing I'd change is that I wish it came in black rather than the day glo orange.... but that is a minor thing.

Excellent to fair
This is a great product. I ordered a pair for myself and another as a gift for Christmas. My experience so far is that it is excellent for some uses and fair for others. When you need something to protect you from the heat and you know its is going to get wet or greasy this is the tool. I use it to pick meat from the bones of too hot to handle turkey and ham. It is also good for grabbing a pan of drippings or grease when you might otherwise ruin an oven mitt by dipping the thumb in grease. When the grill is too hot to keep your hand over the fire while adding bbq sauce, or in the oven when basting. It lets you remain protected from heat and retains some dexterity since it has individual fingers. The thing it is not best at is holding something too hot for an extended time. I can take cookies from the oven at 350 and get them on the table, but when I have to take something out at 475 and put it on a cooling rack before i put down the pan i will still use an oven mitt. The star missing is because when the heat does get through the silicone and you start to feel it, the heat intensifies. I have not been burned as a result, but when I realized that I had put down the pan and the heat wasn't lessening, I took the glove off quickly. It has enough uses that it has earned a permanent place in my tiny kitchen. And, the company Ekogrips seems eager to please their customers which makes me happy to order from them.

A good product; worth the cost of kitchen safety; OUTSTANDING SUPPORT
I just received my XXL LongCuff 2016 gloves. The fingers are (inside) aprox the same length as mine when the glove is pulled on. the inside seam length of my fingers are: Thumb 12.5cm, index 10cm, mid 8.5, ring 9.5, and little (measured betw ring and little) 7cm. The sleeve to wrist crease is 13 cm and inside is studded with half round bumps; the rest of the inside is smooth. Approximately 1cm of each finger width is empty; since my thumb width (for comparison is 2.5cm at the knuckle, I think that a more muscular hand might fit. Since the gloves are essentially flattened, the gloves stay on by gentle pressure/friction from the top and palm sides, as well as some friction from the sleeve. The grasping ability is mainly by two factors: the external flat studs, and the easy ability to grip between the thumb and slightly bent fingers. Those with strong hands will be able to make a fist, but my arthritis in a few of my fingers prevents me from making a fist. The gloves are a significant improvement over my silicone mittens because the gloves have a longer sleeve and pot edges and handles can be gripped between the separate fingers. Also, the gloves are more flexable than the thicker mittens. The longer sleeves provide more protection than the shorter mittens against pot steam when draining pots into a colander, however the other approximately half of the forearm must still be considered when draining pots. The only weakness of these gloves is the hanging loop, which is noticebly poorly engineered (weak) with too narrow loop and the hole design has a sharp indentation which is definitely the weakest point. None the less, the glove appears to be the best of this overall design. The warranty is "lifetime", and although I'm sure the company who designed the details and issues the warranty has good intentions, keep in mind that warranties are for the life of the company. The lifetime warranty is something that few others offer, so, for the life of the company, I consider the warranty as likely good. I urge the company to provide a much more substantial hanging design, and this is why: a mouse chewed a hole in my hot mitts, if they were hanging, they might be still operative. On the other hand, perhaps then I wouldn't have been motivated to get these far better hot gloves!! UPDATE: I just ordered another but "fits most" smallest size for my wife. Because the size did not appear on my order, I emailed the supplier with this worry and got an almost immediate response that they checked the order, I was going to get my selected size, and asked if I had any more questions! Wow.

We love these gloves!
Long story short, my husband recently burned his hand while making a new recipe that required use of the broiler. I decided to buy these to try to avoid problems in the future. These gloves work very well. In fact, they are much like the silicone mitts we liked in the past, but these have fingers, making them a far superior product to those mitts. We regularly use these gloves as potholders, but also use them at least weekly to turn over food in our oven and also on our smoker and grill. These are perfect for flipping steaks or for flipping pork tenderloins on the grill and for pulling sweet potatoes out of boiling water. I anticipate using them during this canning season to pick up hot jars. But be advised that the heat protection is not sufficient to keep your hand on food in the broiler or in boiling water for an extended period of time. These gloves are made of silicone, so they are dishwasher safe and ultimately stain-resistant. They do not hold smells the way dirty fabric oven mitts sometimes do. While I am not a fan of the orange color, its brightness ensures that I am able to find them no matter where they are lying on the counter and no matter where they may be resting in my sometimes-messy kitchen drawer. My husband and I are both able to wear one size fits most, and we both are able to get them on and off without hassle. (If you have larger hands, you may want to opt for the larger size.) And the company that makes them seems to provide great customer service and stands by the product with a good warranty. We love these gloves–in fact, we bought my husband’s father a set for his birthday earlier this year. We would highly recommend them for use in the kitchen and particularly with the grill.

GoodGloves, But Not Perfect
I was torn between these gloves and the fabric oven mitts, so I decided to try both. Here is what I found: * These are not affected by steam or hot juices. While you cannot keep your hand in a pot of boiling water for any length of time, they will not spread the hot liquid on your unprotected skin as the fabric gloves do. * These are easily cleaned. The fabric gloves lose their insulating properties if they get grease on them, but you can easily wash these gloves, and use them again immediately. * The color of these gloves will prevent you from losing them. While they may be a little too bright to hang up in the kitchen, they are perfect for barbeques where gloves are easily misplaced. * The benefits of these gloves are balanced by the fact that you lose some of the dexterity you have with the fabric gloves. They are comfortable if you place a little powder inside, but the fabric gloves provide much more dexterity and are far more comfortable than these gloves. Which is better? I'm not sure, so I purchased both gloves. The perfect gloves would be fabric gloves that are also water and liquid repellant, but they do not seem to be readily available, just yet. Minus: I get annoyed when Amazon sellers continually bug me me to rate my purchase. I'd really prefer to try my purchase for a few weeks or months to write a meaningful review. The reviews are intended for my fellow Amazon users, not to help the vendor sell their product.

Awesome gloves- never burn or singe your hands/wrists again!
Have used these several times from BBQ use to pies & roasters in oven- impressive to say the least! I feel just light warmth through the gloves when handling something really hot, but that's it- and I love how they are long enough to protect my wrists from the oven racks- I'm really good at hitting the edge of the rack with my wrist while taking something out of the oven and giving it a good singe! Also, grilling a rack of ribs is so easy now- always had to wrestle with tongs to flip them & get them off the grill- now I simply reach in, pick them up, & put them on the platter- so easy! Easy to carve off individual ribs too- hold with one glove & use un-gloved hand to hold the carving knife- perfect control. Another plus was getting the Thanksgiving turkey out of the roaster- just pick it up!! This was one of the best purchases I have made- so simple & SO useful!! Clean up is a breeze too...a soapy sponge run lightly over the gloves & a quick rinse & they are good to go again. The only part that is a little tricky is getting them off my hands when they are greasy, but once you get them started, they slide off pretty easy. They are a little bulky at first, but easy to get used to, & they grip even the greasiest food with ease. If you are looking for a great pair of grilling gloves, I highly recommend these!

Great BBQ gloves and DOG HAIR removal!! Then just wash them up!
So far, these are pretty awesome. They are easy to put on and they are pretty flexible. They are a bit too big for me but I bought them for my husband and they fit him very well. I haven't used them on anything really hot yet but they are silicone so I am sure they will work. You can feel the heat through them somewhat but it isn't really uncomfortable because it isn't burning you. They are also AWESOME for brushing the dog! I have a Lab/Chow mix with a heavy fuzzy chow undercoat. In the spring, he starts to shed that undercoat and it is awful. I can take a huge amount of hair off of him by brushing him wearing these gloves. Then I can just pull the hair off and wash them with soap and water and they are squeaky clean again. I haven't tried it yet but I am equally sure they will work for removing dog hair from carpet (like in the car). Oh and, like I said, they work for hot stuff too ;-)

Great for short periods of time
I like these almost to the point where they've replaced my standard oven mitts. Almost as I wish they were available in more tailored sizes. These fit me fine, but when trying to deal with little racks or dishes with handles you do take a little risk of dropping it as fingers hare rather large and a little bulge forms when you close your hand. Also, these are heat resistant for a few seconds. I think that with my fabric mittens I can hold oven dishes for longer before it becomes too hot to hold. Why would you ask you'd want to hold a 220*C dish for a while? Well, let's say you're carrying it outside or you want to continue to hold it when somebody forgot to prep the table for you to put it down. It happens. Other than that, I like how high up your arm they go as I did burn my forearm a few times on the oven. I didn't use them with a bbq yet though, I don't feel a need really as my utensils are long enough. They've been through a dishwasher a few times which seems absolutely fine, they are made out of silicon so there shouldn't be a problem with that.

Grip not good enough for regular indian cooking
The product is shipped from outside the country so it took a while to be delivered. Bought this for my mother in law to keep her hands protected during regular cooking. She has a medical condition due to which she can't feel her fingers and thus her fingers get burnt quite often. Now I know this is a pair of BBQ gloves but thought it would work during regular Indian cooking. Pros: Heat resistant: Offer great heat protection as promised Cons: Delayed Delivery: It took them weeks to deliver the product. Bad Grip: Grip not good enough for handling heavy pans or even while stirring a ladle

Also keine heißen Experimente! Ansonsten gutes Produkt.
