This is an excellent movie. I don't think anything more can be said. It has become an instant classic. I bought this to play in our portable DVD player and it comes out every christmas. This is among our classic Must See movies every holiday season. A fantastic Movie. 10 stars!!

can be watched every night for a month, and it doesn't get old
I wasn't going to order this for my wife- I knew what I was in for. "Why don't you put Elf on for me?" every night- but I can't say no to her, you know? So now I know the lines to this think like I did for Princess Bride and 16 Candles, back in high school-And there are some great lines!"You sit on a throne of lies!""Watch out for the yellow ones, they don't stop!""Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?""My finger has a heart beat.""Have you seen these toilets? They're GINORMOUS!"This movie is sweet, goofy, funny, innocent and joyful- everything you want in a Christmas movie. Will Ferrell is fantastic as Buddy the Elf. This was the movie that really turned me around on him- he really nails this role- before this movie I always thought he was just massively annoying.Bob Newhart is great, of course. I used this movie as an excuse to make my wife watch some of his older stuff, particularly his great sit-coms from the seventies and eighties. This is where I first met Zooey Deshanel. What a delight she is! She has a bit of a hipster/indie edge, without being off-putting.And the Louie Prima songs are a great touch- who would have thought to use Louie Prima in a Christmas movie? But it works! The infinifilm stuff is a bit annoying. I won't be buying any more of these- it's an interesting idea, but it doesn't really work. This movie works for the whole family - young kids to oldest adults - and it has enough odd ball moments that it bears repeated re-watching.

With christmas several days away this movie is a great treat for kids and the whole family of all ages.Everyone will enjoy this silly, fun, heartwarming and comedy-filled movie.I just finish rewatching with family and i didn't understand why i didn't like the movie before when i seen it in theatre. We all loved it and laughed so much!Definitely worth watching anytime but especially around these winter holidays like Home Alone.I recieved intake, wrapped in clear plastic. There were no scratches, no residue of any kind on case and dvd.

Two thumbs up for a really fun holiday movie
While I am not a huge Will Ferrel fan, I do love this movie. It is a lot of fun to watch. No one seems to run it until super late in the holiday season, so we finally bought it.I'd never heard of "Infinifilm" before, so wasn't sure what to expect.Basically, after you watch the movie in regular mode first, you can watch it afterwards in "Infinifilm" mode. There are popup links on the bottom of the screen which can be clicked on, which take you into more detail about certain aspects of the movie itself. We've been trying out a few of them, and they are fun for movie buffs or anyone interested in the behind-the-scenes information. The only thing that didn't make much sense about it was that we bought a brand new DVD, but the Infinifilm part refers to something being on "Disc 2". There was only ONE disc in the package. So, not sure what the scoop is on that one.I believe this is a fun addition to everyone's holiday viewing movie collection. Good old fashioned holiday fun.No worries about those who do not like the religious aspect - there is nothing mentioned in here on that one.And the nice part about owning the movie is that you get to see the entire thing, instead of whatever scenes the tv stations have decided to show you. We have seen this movie several times on tv over the last few years, but with the DVD, we've seen quite a few smaller scenes that were never included in the tv versions. (And one of my favorite parts that we've used at our house is the big cola belch, followed by "did you hear that?" Haha!Fun for the family, nothing dirty, no visible nudity, just holiday entertainment.
