Nemasys Leatherjacket Killer Nematodes Treats 100sqm + Coarse Watering Can Rose

Excellent product and easy to apply. I recommend buying it with the rose as trying to make one yourself is challenging and in my case a waste of time

The solution was easy to mix and apply. The watering can rose, although was described as coarse, was not coarse enough and clogged up when applying. Had to re drill the holes to make them coarser.

I don’t really know if the product has worked, but I just wish to comment on the special watering can rose. Is was an expensive addition to this packaged product, but the holes are smaller than the holes in my standard cheap plastic watering can rose.

Took a long time with a watering can to do the garden. I was seeing affects immediately, with the bugs closest to the surface popping up and (well the best way I can explain it, “exploding” from the liquid! And they go black). unfortunately, the liquid doesn’t go that deep, so I still have the leatherjackets. Another thing to add, once applied your garden stinks of chemicals for a good 2weeks! I couldn’t open the windows if it was windy outside, and my neighbours weren’t too happy by the smell too. Another thing to add, because of the strong acid in the chemicals I now have to wait 2 months before I can get my new turf laid. Also the company said that Nemotoads are illegal for that reason, as it affects the soil for a very time afterwards. Also that you cannot put vegetables and fruit plants into that same soil ever again, because traces of the chemicals could end up in the food we eat. Thought I’d pass on that warning!

I bought this as we have an infestation of leatherjackets that was making a mess of our grass. We had an unhealthy, yellow area of grass that the crows, magpies and an oyster catcher were having a field day with. I dug up a patch to look and it was crawling with leatherjackets.This product is easy to apply, you just dilute the worms in a bucket of water, and then further dilute when decanting into a watering can. However the "coarse" watering can rose supplied with the worms was no use whatsoever. It clogged up almost immediately. Luckily I already had another rose which did the job fine. Perhaps I just received a duff one.Probably not the best time of year to be trying this (non optimal part of leatherjacket lifecycle and hot and dry conditions) but I'm keeping the area well watered and will see what happens. I will order more to reapply in the Autumn and try and report back with results.Update - so, only two weeks after applying this I have lush green grass (still with a few small bare patches which were caused by the birds). This product seems to have done the trick. I think I will still reapply in the Autumn just to make sure. So 5 stars despite the useless watering can rose.Note I applied the full contents to an area of roughly 50 sq m.

Load of rubbish, 4 packs and £80 later, followed the instructions to the letter on lawn and lawn got infected worse , I feel it's a gimmick as you can no longer buy a treatment for this and once used you can hardly send it back !!!

Product was sent promptly, but didn't find it for 2 days, but that was delivery fault. Was not easy to get nozzle on, but once on stayed put.

After a week it didn't seem to make any difference. I followed the instructions to the letter, mixing well. I ended up using the 100 square meter pack on 40 square metres applying twice a week apart. Still got leather jackets and crows have ripped my lawn to bits. The holes on the rose are very small.
