Great layout and encouraging of those who are ready to branch out
I am a fan of Salad Samurai so was super excited when I heard another salad book was coming out. The format is excellent with components that can be mix and matched at will. Suggestions are of course in description and then there are recipes with variations ie for the Gyro Salad Sandwich there are 2 suggested dressings. I do own several books by this author: Veganomicon {doh}, Viva Vegan, Vegan Eats World, and Salad Samurai. I find her style of writing engaging, her recipes top notch, and her how to prep for the week suggestions encouraging. I have been cooking vegetarian and vegan foods for over 40 yrs now and am a confident cook who doesn't feel the need to follow a recipe word by word {no pumpkin seeds? sunflower seeds will do OR ugh not enough garlic give me more} so appreciate a cookbook author who encourages us to play around with options. This is where the prep for week sections really excel. Protein, veg, grain, dressings and lets get a great bowl going. For this she deserves major kudos.

Another Winner from Terry Hope Romero
I'm a huge fan of Terry Hope Romero's books, particularly Salad Samurai, so when I saw a new salad book I was excited but also didn't think I needed it. I was happy to be proven wrong. This book is seriously amazing. The way it's organized and structured is incredibly interesting and engaging. I'll call it mix-and-match but only because I can't think of a better term. It's just.....practical. You can use the ingredients you have and not buy a ton of expensive ingredients for one dish. I am particularly loving the coriander bird tofu and lemon dijon tofu. Cannot wait to try the tempeh pastrami. The only thing I could say bad is Terry isn't into pasta salads. This is our great loss because oh man could she whip up some tasty noodle recipes. Gorgeous pictures, expertly crafted recipes and just overall excellent. Highly recommend.

I'm kinda in love with this cookbook
I bought this a year or so ago and like many of my cookbooks, I found one recipe that I LOVED and instead of exploring further, I made THAT recipe over and over again to the great acclaim of friends and family. This summer I've given the book a closer look and every recipe I've tried has been wonderful!! I have to say hands down this is my favorite in a fairly extensive cookbook collection. BTW, I love the layout, photos, and directions.

New fav
Absolutely love this book!! I’ve already cooked 8 recipes and they were all delicious. Will definitely be using this one a lot this summer. I love the way the book & recipes are broken up. Leaves room for lots of play.My only complaint is that there is a lot of tofu/tempeh/seitan used as the protein. While I would have liked to see a little less reliance on them. But I can easily use beans or leave them out. So it wasn’t a huge deal.

If you need actionable salad making book this is the one
I had a pleasure of meeting Terry in person which made me enjoy the recipes even more. With her passionate but not intrusive attitude, she made me consider giving salats more space in my diet and now I'm reaping the benefits. Recipes are simple to make while the results are tasty, well-rounded meals which made me improve my diet and let me perform better.

Put Guac on Everything!
I bought this for my sister's birthday - she's not the best cook and she has been raving about the simplicity of the recipes. She is also not a vegan and has learned a lot about what healthier ingredients to use and clever ways of replacing dairy and animal products. Def get this book!

Un-inspiring!
I purchased this book after reading the raving reviews. I was so excited for it because I love salads. It was a HUGE disappointment. It is a complete waste of money! It will probably go in the trash bin. If I could give it minus points I would.
