Excellent Tempered Glass for my HTC One M8
As usual, the packaging of the Skinomi Tempered Glass is very thought of and professional. You really know you're getting a quality product. In terms of installation, what can I say - you've done one, you've done them all. As long as you follow the basic rules of installing screen protectors you'll be fine. You really need to take your time and make sure everything goes where it's supposed to be. Once you drop it on the screen it's going to be very difficult to redo again without having some problems. The Tempered glass is indeed thin and has a nice rounded edge to it. My only annoyance is that the glass has some sort of noticeable grit. My fingers don't slide as smoothly as I would hope. I've used other brands of Tempered glass before and never encountered this issue. It feels like they forgot to put the oleophobic coating. I'm hoping Skinomi gets back to me and resolves this. I'm giving them a 5 stars for now but we'll see how the glass feels after a week or so, and how Skinomi responds. I'm hoping it's just my specific glass. I would still recommend it.EDIT: After several days the glass is still not smooth. Feels a little gritty but there's nothing there that you can see. It's really weird. I will have to bring the rating down to a 4 until this gets figured out.

Never buying a regular screen protector again
After buying countless stupid plastic film screen protectors, I was fed up. I was tired of having to get every single little bit of dust off the screen, wiping it 20 times, using the sticky pad for tiny particles, and still getting air bubbles. Worse yet, if they are placed wrong, you can't move them, or they become even less effective. And, if I somehow did get the screen protector on right, the colors would appear yellowed, and scrapes were the only thing that they could handle. Drops were a no-go. Talk about "protection".Then, I found out about glass screen protectors.I bought this screen protector for my family member after having one on my own screen for 3 months. In that time, I kept my phone in my pocket with keys, dropped it 3 times, scraped it against a concrete wall, and generally abused it. The screen protector not only held up, only having 1 crack that didn't affect viewing or use; when I removed it (to replace it with another glass protector) the screen was in perfect condition. It had no cracks, scratches, or sticky residue, even after 3 months of heavy use. These screen protectors:1. Come with an alcohol wipe, dust remover, microfiber cloth, and instructions2. Don't change the look or feel of the screen. You can't tell the difference between this and having no screen protector on. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the feel of a plastic protector.3. Isn't finicky during installation. You can get small pieces of dust on the screen, place the screen protector on, and there's no bubble where the dust is (warning: you still have to get most particles off, this only applies to the tiniest ones that would still screw your plastic protectors up).4. You can move it after you place it! If it doesn't go on right the first time, peel it off, and place it on again. I have had to do it 3 times before, and it still worked perfectly.5. Drops on the screen now have protection. I've seen it in action, and it works so much better than the flimsy plastic ones. This one doesn't cover the top or bottom grilles, but stops at the end of the screen. Which is perfect for the HTC One.If you are scared because this only comes with one protector, don't worry. You will only need one. They will last you 6 months or more of regular usage, and will leave you in the same position as me. I'm never going to buy a normal screen protector again.

Seems like a decent enough product
Meh. Seems like a decent enough product, but the installation process is a crapshoot at best, unless you happen to have a clean room available or some other totally dust-free environment. If there is even the tinest speck of dust on the phone screen when you install the glass protector, it will not adhere properly. And it's virtually impossible to fix after the first attempt. The problem is the process of cleaning the screen itself prior to applying the protector will create a static charge on the surface of the phone that is likely to attract some dust as soon as you clean the screen. So by the time you are ready to apply the protector, there most likely will be a few new dust particles on the screen. And those tiny dust particles, that you might not even be able to see, will prevent the protector from adhering properly. So the product itself may be fine, but if you aren't going to have it put on by a pro, basically you've got about a 50-50 shot of having it apply properly. The one for my daughter's S5 went on okay, although one corner looks "iffy". The one for my HTC One M8 ended up being useless. Threw it away. So, a waste of money for me.The lesson: Glass protectors are great, but let a dealer put it on for you. So if it doesn't work, it's their problem, not yours. Good luck everyone!
