The cartridge was defective upon purchase, of course this was not discovered until the valve had been installed and the dry wall was installed with the new tile in place. We did not know the cartridge was defective until we went to put the handle on at the end of the renovation only to learn that it did not work AND it caused a LEAK through the ceiling during the process of trying to trouble shoot the issue. I went to home depot to buy the exact same product just to get a new cartridge and that cartridge too was defective! It wasn't until a THIRD set was purchased that it finally worked and I still have grave concerns that there will be a problem in the near future as this product is completely unreliable. A very simple bathroom renovation turned into a nightmare because of this product and had to go several days without a functioning shower AND incurred additional expense to buy an entirely new faucet set AND incurred additional plumbing expenses as a result. To make matters worse, Glacier Bay's customer service was useless and provided no helpful information whatsoever. Highly disappointed.
