Beautiful color, no brassiness!
Cool Supreme Permanent Hair Color, Ash Ultra Ash Medium Blonde 8.11 This hair color is amazing! I have been going to a salon, getting highlights to help cover my grays. It got too expensive and I didn’t really like the look. But I avoided coloring at home because all box dyes I’ve tried pulled the red out in my hair. I decided to try this ultra ash, figuring I would probably have to go back to the salon or deal with a little red/orange. It came out beautiful! No red! My hair is now a beautiful medium/dark blonde color with no brassiness. I’m so impressed! I left it in for 40-45 minutes and used the purple conditioner that was included. It’s been 2 weeks and I love the color. I also haven’t used the purple conditioner since the first day and it’s stayed the same color. Bought two more boxes and hope they don’t discontinue this color. 🤞🏻

Good product and color!
This is a good quality product that I have been using several years. It is easy to use at home, the color is pretty, and covers the gray well. I get compliments all the time because my hair has nice highlights!

Definitely Darker Than I Expected
I have been using L'Oreal Paris Superior Preference Fade-Defying + Shine Permanent Hair Color, 6.5G Lightest Golden Brown for years. It's been a reliable product and I've gotten compliments on my hair often, thanks to it and my other hair care products. It hasn't seemed to be lasting as long at covering my grey as in the past so I thought I'd try this product, advertised as being better at this and with lasting results. I knew that there would be a difference in results, from past personal experiences and reading the reviews, so I ordered a lighter color. I'm happy that I did as it did turn out substantially darker than I thought from the manufacturer's indications. It is mixed and applied similarly to my former kit. This comes with a brush to help with application but I didn't see the need to use it. My hair is just shoulder length and I was able to easily and thoroughly cover it with the amount of dye. I applied it to my temples and the roots first and then to the rest of my head. I also applied it to my eyebrows (carefully) as I usually do, as I have salt and pepper greys in them, which very much annoy me. I normally would just treat the roots but decided to do a whole head application since this was a new product. I'm glad that I did. I left the dye on for the advised 30 minutes before rinsing and conditioning. The resulting coverage was good, for the most part, but much darker than I expected, and even darker than my former, "light golden brown" dye. Grey coverage is acceptable but I will have to update my review as to longevity as it's only been a few days. My hair appeared pretty dull at first but is looking better after one wash, and is shinier and more natural looking. My eyebrows even look pretty good. The odor was stronger than my former color kit. The conditioner even had a strong scent. It lingered for at least a day, so that may bother some people. My biggest surprise was that this, "Dark Natural Golden Blonde" was so much different and darker than my former, "Light Golden Brown" even though they are both by L'Oreal. Fortunately, it doesn't look unnatural or bad on me, just different. I will update my review as to the longevity as the weeks pass. I would not say that I have a lot of grey yet, even as I'm closing in on 70, but I've never let my color go that long either. My natural color, I believe, is probably close to what it is now, after this product, or a tad darker, FWIW. I will probably continue to use this product if the effects are longer lasting than my former coloring product, but will just do the root touch up so it's not such a drastic change. I tried to take pictures to share but they do not show the color accurately and tend to red tones. I recommend this but will update my review to address the long term effectiveness. Update- I have used this a few times now and like it even more. It does seem to last longer than the former Preference color I was using, having better color "staying power". After the first use, it seemed that the color was less noticeably dark, or I was just used to it. Possibly, the change in formulas effected it the first time? I don't know. I'm happy with the results at this point.

Great, no-brass at all color but discontinued
Why did they stop making this line? It's my favorite but I'm down to the 8.11 since I can no longer buy the next lighter shade. Color is amazing. Ive used it many times. This last time over highlighted hair and it blends the highlights into my hair with no orange. Zero, zip, no need for a toning shampoo or conditioner. Absolutely beautiful on my naturally dark blonde hair. I'm have some greys but not many and it covers pretty well but this last time the color doesn't not seem to be lasting as long but that could be my hair. Don't be alarmed by the purple in the color, your hair will not be purple.

Color, quality and care
Suuuuper color ! I actually mixed it with 6UA and it turned out to be a perfect base for highlights. Even if you do not wish to have highlights , it is a true ash! No brassiness (we love that right?).

Use a stronger developper
Worked well and covered grey. I used it with a 30 volume developer. For those who don't know, if you buy a lighter color than your hair is currently, it will not turn out like the photo on the box (unless you are only going a shade or two lighter) because the developer that comes in the box is not strong enough to lift that many levels. The darker the hair is to start, the more levels it has to go through to get to blonde. Red is one of the levels, and gold is another, next is yellow, then blonde. Even ash colors won't come out ashy if one is trying to go too light. Recommend buying 30 or 40 volume developer to use with the toner no matter what color or brand you're using if you want to lighten more than one step. I used 30 volume developer with medium ash blonde 8UA and it came out a shade darker than the box. Next time, I'll use 40 volume developer and expect it will lift to the color on the box. I am starting with light ash brown. Anyone starting with anything darker than that are not going to get their color lifted enough with a box developer. Hairdressers use 30 and 40 volume developer to get the results they do. A hairdresser told me to get some stronger developers for doing it at home from a box.

No Brassy tones at all!
I did roots for 20 minutes, then the rest of my hair for another 20 minutes. Hair came out perfectly even in color. NO BRASSY TONES AT ALL. This is my new favorite hair color!

Easy to use
Very easy to use with a comb attachment tomuse should you so choose. Very little smell. Don't be put off by the sludge like colour (re-dying after a darker colour) once the dye starts to work, it had no effect on the end result. The hyaluronic shampoo to use after the dying process was a welcone suprise, made your hair feel clean before the conditioning stage. Very reasonably priced for a L'Oréal product. Says Prime delivery but I didn't get mine for 48 hours after ordering.

Awesome product!
I love these hair dyes! I have natural fine black hair and this is the only drugstore hair dye that actually lightens my hair and gives it a nice ashy not brassy tone. I cannot find these in stores in Canada anymore which is why I had to order it online. These arrived super fast and I am very happy with my purchase. P.S. I have ordered the set of 3 box dyes 3 times already. This tells you how much I love this product and I can't stop raving about it.
