Christmas Comes Home to Canaan

A worthy sequel...
This is a great sequel to "Christmas in Canaan". Be warned though, if you're expecting an airheaded, dime a dozen, Hallmark rom-com Christmas movie, you will be disappointed. This is a family drama that just happens to have Christmas come into play at a point.

Good attempt at a sequel
We got this after watching and really enjoying the first picture "Christmas Comes to Canaan". Like many other sequels it doesn't quite measure up to the original but I would never discourage anyone from getting a copy and watching it. But this should not be viewed if you haven't seen the original first. The ending of the picture left something to be desired as well. Two main characters left "dangling" and almost screaming for the third film in a trilogy. If there's one out there I'd like to know about it and I would certainly buy a copy to finish "the rest of the story".

Not too shabby, worth watching
A little sappy but then again it is a Halmark film and the are. The daughter was a little overdone. And the flag goes up in a mailbox when you have outgoing not when you get your mail.

I enjoyed this movie but my husband didn't.
I enjoyed this movie but my husband found it boring and went to bed. It won't be on my annual Christmas movie watch list but I'll probably bring it out every other year.

It's What Christmas and Everyday is about
I was surprised at Billy Ray Cyrus performance. Perhaps a little laid back. The movie is about a White family taking in a Black child. I can relate my son has done the same thing. It shows how we can love each other no matter the color of the skinor background of the person. I liked it so much I ordered the second movie.

A Christmas movie well worth the $5.99.
I think the storyline was weak. I think the actors could have done a better job selling the emotions. But if you like a feel-good ending, it’s absolutely fine for a “B”movie. The girls loved it.

good sequel
We enjoyed this sequel to Christmas in Canaan. It was appreciated that the main characters were the same in both movies. However, with the southern accents and sometimes muffled sound, we would have enjoyed this even more with closed captions. Probably predictable with a couple of unique twists. The emphasis on family support and relationships continues in this story. Healing for Bobber's disability, following the accident in the first story, is sought and results in a love interest for his dad, Daniel. Jealousy threatens the family unity. Watch this family-friendly movie to find out how all this turns out.

Another excellent family film for the holidays
Billy Ray Cyrus did it again with this second movie on the life of this family in rural Texas and their struggles during the holidays. It is good to see that his life as a single father starts to take a turn now that he has raised all the children but even he too has to come to an understanding about the meaning and spirituality of Christmas.

Great Movie
If you grew up in the 50's, 60's, 70's, you will relate to this movie as if you were there. It was very well done, and if there is going to be a third one, which I hope there will be I can't wait to get it.

Christmas Comes Home to Canaan reminds us of the old times.
The only thing I was not impressed with how long it took to get to me, other than that the product is exactly what I expected. I bought it for myself.
