Bought one jar from an unknown seller and it was fake. I started out with the 02 fair ivory original. The shade matched perfectly and was light weight, covered my redness but gave my skin a natural look instead of a heavy masked look which I didn't want. I'm 41 and have mature skin so less looks better on me. The only thing was at work towards the end of my shift the bare minerals would wear off and look shinny or oily from sweating. So I decided to try the bare minerals powder matte. I love this powder. It has done wonders and does seem to last through my whole shift keeping the shine down. However, the first time I purchased the matte, I bought the same shade I used in the original, 02 fair ivory. It was too dark and looked kinda yellow on my face. Amazon did let me return it so I went a shade lighter and got 01 fair, matte. It seems to match closer to the 02 fair ivory original. It seems to mesh with the foundation rather than sitting visibly on top of it. The finish is softly matte and polished, but it still looks like skin—not dry, chalky, or excessively powdered. It also gives my base a little extra coverage and makes the overall finish look smoother.The biggest compliment is that people actually notice my makeup when I wear this combination and tell me how beautiful my skin looks. It improves the wear of lighter serum foundations without taking away their natural finish.
