This is Morning Bird Pigeon Grit - Healthy & Nutritious Pigeon Food to Support Strong Muscles & Bones for Grit Eating in 1.5 pound plastic bag. Cost is $15 which is high! My pigeons seem to really like it. The only problem is some of the Oyster shells are flat and really sharp. See my picture thickness is good except for some Oyster thin shells.

I have 3 pidgeons that have decided to stay permanently at my house. It's been a learning experience for them and me. I suspected that eggs were becoming a thing so I bought the shells. I expected the birds would play with, scatter and eat a few. I didn't expect my large female to go at it like an all-you-can-eat buffet! I put this bowl all the way up in the roosting area since my terrorist squirrels probably wouldn't be interested. I definitely have 1 to 4 hatchlings going on. I will know better when they come out to get their flapping on.

This was 2nd order as 1st one never arrived. I got the package & went straight to my pigeon coop to see if they liked this grit. Boy! Did they like it? I wouldn’t know because they are fighting each other to get to it. I had to get a 2nd bowl to put in. This was definitely worth the hassle. My 4 pigeons love it!!!!

I purchased two orders of this grit. One order looked great. However, one order didn’t. In the bad order, the grit looked like large flat shards instead of like grit. I’m not sure the pigeons can even eat it because the shards are so big. I probably won’t be repurchasing because of the inconsistency in product quality.

Daniel the pigeon gives it “two claws up!” He tends to throw it out of the tray I have it in, and only he knows why; but he eats a little bit of it every day, and likes it far better than the non-pigeon-specific grit I had from a previous bird.
