Perfect Moen Shower Valve Great Value and Easy to Install
I used this valve for my new Moen shower during my bathroom remodel and it worked perfectly. My old valves were 15 years old, and this replacement was very inexpensive, came directly from the manufacturer, and arrived much faster than it would have from a big box store. Installation was simple and it functions flawlessly. I highly recommend this valve for anyone updating or remodeling their bathroom. Great quality, great value, and very reliable.

Functions as it should and was easy to install by the plumber
I provided this valve to my plumber with a Moen Brantford Brushed Nickel Posi-Temp Pressure Balancing Shower Trim Kit Featuring Shower Lever Handle (Without Showerhead) and he was able to install it without issue. He said it was easy to install and said this valve was preferable to the ones with stops built in because he always turns off the water anyway. Works as it should for my new shower.

If you’re going to stick with Moen, use the type Moen trim. Nobody wants to deal with leaks.
Just so you know, there is another version of the same valve at your local big box store. The local big box one can handle both threads and direct solder sweating connection. This is preferred by most contractors. This one that is sold here is not the preferred one for remodel. The water flow is good. It just takes more time to install and the ease of installation is not there since you have to thread the connections. The fit is good. It is not so much value for the money because the replacement of the valve cartridge almost cost as much as the entire valve. The size of the valve seems like a decent standard size. The quality of the item has to be good because it is a name brand trusted product.

Quality product and hopefully will stand the test of time
It was honestly hard to find product images of this thing, and the model number isn't exactly stamped into the bronze on this valve. In the end I handed it over to my plumber during our bathroom reno and he had no issues installing this along with the Moen Genta trim we had chosen. Water mixing seems fine and we have no issues getting very hot water after the installation was complete. I've attached some pictures in case it might help someone out. Crossing my fingers that I won't ever have to change this valve body out if we are to ever update to a different Moen trim in the future.

Easy setup and install
Replacement for a Delta valve at the daughter's house. I like Moen as they are easy to set up and install. Plus Replacement cartridges down the line are much simpler. Moen is my go to when plumbing valves. 5 star would require a 6 year no problem rating from me.

Take your time and follow instructions.
Install was easy. Be sure to follow instructions to flush the valve to prevent debris causing leaks. Mount the valve on a 1x4 mounted flush with the 2x4 stud and that’ll give about 1/4” space between the handle and the trim. It’s easy to adjust, its flow is comparable to the old two handle faucet I replaced. So far it’s working great and is easy to service if needed. The trim piece used to cover the old two handle valve looks good as well. Tape your connections and you’ll have no leaks. Be sure to follow instructions to remove the valve and purge before use!

Plumber approved
I was remodeling the bathroom in my 1970s home. I asked two different plumbers which shower valve I should buy because I wanted to match a shower kit to it. Moen offers three different valves. This one is in the middle, not the newest one on the market, not the oldest. Both plumbers suggested this Moen posi temp shower valve for the water pressure (powerful) and the ease of matching a trim kit. Apparently, plumbers prefer the posi temp valve over the newer model. As a consumer, I love it! The water pressure it provides is strong! I highly recommend it. It doesn’t matter whether you choose male or female connections because any plumber can adapt the fittings to either.
