They can actually stack OK (and very easily) on their own, with a reasonable amount of space...which is fortunate because they don't work with the risers!The risers are junk....they're flimsy and brittle...and the tray above 'balances' rather than 'clicks' into position. Not exactly 'strong and stable'By the time you apply a small amount of pressure expecting to feel a 'click' to know it's connected - you've already broken the bottom part of the riser attached to the lower tray.I certainly wouldn't push it to three levels - never mind the alleged capacity for four tiers! I dread to think how the risers were supposed to cope with weight applied to them...it looked like the air disturbance from an office fan could cause them to collapse.The trays themselves aren't too bad - pretty reasonable for the money, and deep enough to hold a fair amount...but accessing inside without the height benefits the risers were *supposed* to provide...well, you'll have to judge if that's an inconvenience you can live with.There are certainly more pleasing ones to look at, and I had eyed up one set of metal ones - but the 4th tray and the price won me round.Strangely, it was the trays that I had little expectation of, but they are marginally better than expected...but I still think I should have spent the extra £6 or so...

The colours are really lovely, trays nice and thick and well made but if you are going to use the height adjuster clips.....don't! The clips make the stack unsturdy, and wobbly. The slightest knock would topple the lot. A shame as overall these trays are great. If the manufacturers can make better fitting adjusters then 5 stars would be correctly applied.

Colours and shape of tray is great, sadly once stacked using the black supports it becomes unsturdy, tray doesn't rest on supports very well, slight movement and it all topples over, 2 black supports have now broken too. Looks pretty, great for colour coding but would not buy again!

Initially I bought two sets. One set, perfect, second set the blue tray had a chunk missing. Received a replacement the next day and that too has a broken blue tray. Amazon won’t replace this for some reason and will only refund, so I have had to fork out for another set. Owning three sets of trays with just one being in useable is a pain. Repackaging and returning is a nuisance considering these are broken products that will likely just be scrapped.They look really lovely and are easy to assemble however I currently don’t feel I have value for money and await the delivery of set number four with my fingers crossed.

The plastic spacer/sliders that hold the trays together are really difficult to get on as they are very stiff to move and so I snapped one in the process - also there were meant to be 12 connectors in the packet and there were only 11! On the upside the colours look good and there is quite a lot of space between the trays!

Spacers could be a bit stronger but ok once assembled several broke putting it together
