With super bright directional LEDs, it is ideal for entry-level machine grade display, specifically on mini-excavators and backhoes. This provides instant grade information to the operator and eliminates the need for a rod man in the trench. It uses the patented light bar technology incorporated in the HL family of Spectra Precision laser receivers, providing more accurate and consistent readings than traditional methods and with fewer electronic components. It has a working radius of 1500 ft (460 m) (laser dependent) and a laser detection height of 5 in (12.7 cm) for quick beam acquisition.
