I am not impressed with sturdiness of this holster. But, I haven’t put it into service yet. I received an email from fobus prior to even receiving it, it warned to make sure to draw weapon strait up and out of holster or you run the risk of breaking the connection between hip pad and holster, not really something else I want to think about when I need my weapon right now.

I got this for my Kimber Aegis Elite Custom 45 ACP. It's supposed to fit all 4" and 5" 1911 style units. It probably will fit most. However, I have optics installed on my 1911. Therefore the front sight post is a little taller so that you can co-witness through the optics. The taller front sight would not allow my 1911 to slide into the holster.Buyer beware!

I like to have a holster for every handgun. I have a couple other Fobus holsters and they are a great value for the $. I wanted a holster for range days with my Springfield Armory SA-35 Hi-Power clone and this holster worked great. I had to loosen the retention screw a bit but its a perfect fit. The paddle is a bit small, but it holds the handgun securely to my waist. Blackhawk holsters have a larger, more secure paddle, but at twice the cost.

I use these for my Star BM‘s, and I also use these for my 1911 A1’s, I have never ever had a problem with them, all you have to do is adjust the tension screws just right. I still have my first one and I’ve been using it for almost 9 years now. You’re not gonna do any better especially for what these cost

After a month of wearing this holster I am still struggling to get the retention screw to stay where I want it. I have many other holsters that have retention screws and not a single one of them has given me as much frustration as this one does. I don't see how my holster could be any different than all the others here who have given this product great reviews, but to me a holster that doesn't hold retention is a poor design. Unfortunately, I am beyond the return window for Amazon. I will try reaching out to Fobus to see if they have a workaround, but as of right now I am reverting back to a different holster and this one is going into a box in the closet.Pros:- Pretty comfortable (caveat listed in Cons)- Solid construction- Fits firearm snugly- Low price makes it extremely good deal compared to similar designs by other companiesCons:- Biggest gripe is the retention screw. The screw is so easily turned that you can adjust it with your fingernail. I would snug the retention down in the morning and after two days of use it will back itself out to where the holster no longer secures the firearm. Very dangerous. If I tighten the screw enough to where it doesn't want to move by itself, the holster is then so tight that drawing is impossible no matter how hard and quick I try jerking the pistol loose. Again, very dangerous. I've never had to do this with a holster but I had to glue the retention screw into place so that I wouldn't have to worry about it backing out again.- Top of paddle where the rivets are create uncomfortable contact with skin; need tucked shirt to prevent rubbing- Does not completely cover the trigger; leaves just enough exposed to create some safety concerns as you can still reach down and hook a fingernail or other slim object onto the front of the trigger. Unnecessary design flaw, in my opinion.

Fits good feels like it is worth the money 100% happy. let me update it. I love it well worth it I carry all the time I am a bigger guy. I will definitely get one for my other gun

Slips on to belt easily, but would be difficult for someone to pull off you. It's kind of small for the weight of a model 1911 45 ACP pistol and if you don't position it well causes pistol to jab you in the side when sitting. Also, the tension screw to keep pistol secure in holster does a passable job, but wouldn't slow someone trying to grab your gun too much (pistol can be pulled from holster without too much resistance).

it fits my 5" 1911 .45 Springfield US G.I. perfectly.. after adjusting it, it locks into place, but not enough that you can't draw it without ease, but enough so it won't fall out bending or something, you can always tighten it to how secure you want iou t to be, just need a screwdriver.. nothing more, the paddle isn't uncomfortable, in fact comfortable, it has rubber on the inside so it won't slide back and forth, i even tried it with basketball shorts, and it still didn't move around, and it stated it would take about 2 months to get here, because it's from Israel.. but it came in about 2-3 weeks, so if you see the same when ordering don't let it sway you because mine came a month before it said, it's mostly all plastic, but not cheap plastic, feels really sturdy, i recommend it , my gun is more of a rarer gun, not common.. and still fits like glove
