Great little radio
Brought this as replacement of same which is my work radio. I work 10 hours a day and the battery normally lasts all day. The new one is being kept in my van at the moment so if I want to listen to DAB radio station on the way home I can do. Good sound, easy to tune, easy presets and retrieval, great value for money. Only downside is the charger which has a built in capacitor (I think that is what it is) which after a lot of moving the radio around when being charged doesnt fit very well, but isnt too much of a problem as I just use my phone charger.

Lightweight and compact
Really nice little radio easy set up for ten preset stations easy to follow instructions it’s good that it has a rechargeable battery and can go anywhere you want if no plug points. The only downside is that it’s a real pain to get the thing to turn on. There is a switch at the back which is ok for battery life saving but the small square button on the front which turns it on, off or change to FM/DAB doesn’t seem to want to work - it could be faulty though or a design fault I don’t know but it’s a real pain, you can spend a good few minutes pressing that button before it decides to kick in - yet it’s easy to switch off or change to FM from DAB. Sound quality is ok for the size it is. I got this because the stations I like are now on DAB PLUS only which is a real con I didn’t know about that till a friend told me about it as I mentioned I could no longer get the station I wanted we had to buy DAB radios when digital radio came in now we have to buy DAB PLUS because the stations we like have moved - what next?

Change of review!
I've waited to write my review until i'd given it a decent 'road test'It arrived before the quoted delivery date - tickThe enclosed Instruction Booklet - easy to follow - tickRadio:- Compact (AKA small) - tick- Easy to operate - tick- Sound quality - - - hey! for 20 quid & 1 speaker! - OK = tick!- Technical features - 'does what it says in their advert*' - tick* = I am Non-Teckie: I just wanted a New Portable DAB Radio @ minimal costI REALLY chose to buy this model cos it features an internal rechargeable battery 'cos I was fed-up of arsing about with a mains lead / charger / charged batteries / spare batteries & olde dog of an FM/MW/LW Radio itself not always being in same part of house/garden/man cave when needed! Now: Radio mains/charger lead in a double socket next to phone charger lead in the kitchen so both radio & phone ALWAYS park there overnight to chargeSince arrival I've used the Radio every day for about 8 hours a day and purely on its battery for approx 7 hours each day and on maybe 4 days for approx 9 hours and it hasn't run flat or otherwise let me downSADLY ..after only a couple of months use (May -August) suddenly it would not pick up DAB at all only FM.Sent it back and ordered a new one....unfortunately the replacement model arrived with basically the same fault(To give both radio's a fair chance I did try to tune into DAB in a number of other locations without success)so that's also sent backTherefore I do not recommend

So handy! Ideal for travelling, car, garden, easy to charge, bloody brilliant!
After reading reviews decided on this British made radio as I wanted something easy to charge and highly portable to take to festivals & trips. Charging overnight means I can listen to it in the car without buying an expensive in car DAB radio, then listen to it all day on location and most of the evening too without it dying especially if I knock the volume down when close it will last longer. I found it easy to tune to 3 stations, love the antenna which hides away as I was always breaking them off portable ones in the past. A quick charge when camping off my car phone charger or off my portable phone charger. Sound isn't as good as my Pure but it's a quarter of the size. Really pleased with it.

8 - 12 hours is a fair assessment I believe in terms of battery life; your mileage may vary.
You can't fault this product in terms of value for money at the current price it's pretty cheap. The battery life as I've tested so far is about 9.5 hours at 80% volume, so 8 - 12 hours is a fair assessment I believe in terms of battery life; your mileage may vary. Given a lot of people will buy these for work the ability to last through the day is fairly important. The sound quality is no more than acceptable, you can hear it though don't expect a particularly nuanced performance, it's mono for a start and the frequency response of the speaker is poor with no bass and muddy treble. However it has to be said when you're at work and there's other noises it's better than no music at all. Don't expect much in very noisy environments, if you use it at home though the volume would be quite acceptable. In terms of features a DAB radio and FM is all you get, there's an alarm function which I'm never going to use and no SD card slot. For ease of use the radio is fairly easy to operate, with most buttons clearly marked and self explanatory, however switching between DAB and FM and having this function tied to the power button is just silly and confusing, long press short press, sometimes nothing happens or action is laggy. How much would it have cost to have the functions separate from the power button? There's also a hardware on off switch on the back. Recharging via a micro USB port, so can be powered via powerbars as well as phone chargers.

Great audio and value for money.
Excellent little radio, great audio and very easy to tune if there is one very minor issue the volume would benefit from being louder, but maybe that is just me.

Ideal for a bathroom radio
Firstly it’s a great radio. Very easy to set up. (Sets up itself) and a very good sound. I use mine in the bathroom when I shave in the morning. The external material of the unit is a kind of rubbery feel to it. Ideal for this environment. The only niggle is the battery life, which, like all DAB radios depletes very quickly when on standby mode. The solution is to use the on/off switch when finishing listening. The battery lasts much longer when you do this.
