It's cheaper than other models and it fits my elongated toilet.
It took my husband just minutes to install. It's white and fits my elongated, white toilet. It looks nice and seems sturdy. It feels like a basic, traditional toilet seat: not uncomfortable and not extra comfortable. I ordered it at 10pm and got it by 1pm the next day. (It was brand new, sometimes people complain about getting used ones.) FYI: It will clank when you open it and close VERY FAST when you lower it. UPDATE: I've used it for 6 months with NO problems. I chose it because: - Amazon could deliver it in a day (our toilet seat broke last night and I wasn't sure if I could get to the store). I'm east of Seattle, so I'm near the distribution center, which makes fast turnarounds/deliveries easier. - It had good reviews (people said it was solid and easy to install). - It was INEXPENSIVE: $19, plus tax. It was too cheap to qualify for FREE, next-day shipping, so to get it this the next day, I needed to either pay $2.99 for shipping OR add more to my order to make the $25 minimum. (I bought a little bit more). Comments: 1) I would have been willing to pay a LOT more for a fancier toilet seat that has a slow-closing lid, is extra comfortable, has a finish that can take ANY cleaner--AND IS DURABLE enough to last >5 years, but I couldn't find one. 2) Reviews of other toilet seats indicate that the toilet seats made today don't last. The seat might crack within a few months. The hinges break (especially on slow-closing ones). I bought this seat to replace a slow-closing one whose hinge broke in less than a year. I would have expected a toilet seat to last 10 years (or more), but I think these slow-close hinges get brittle. I'm hoping this new seat lasts several years--but I decided to get a CHEAP, but sturdy seat, so I that I'm not out a lot of money if it doesn't last. 3) Nowadays most hinges are designed to be "removable for easy cleaning." However, in reviews of some other removable seats a few people complained that the toilet seat slid off the hinge while the user was sitting on it. Although this model has that removable feature, I'm hoping that if I don't take it off, perhaps it might make it less likely to pop off unexpectedly. (I've used it for 6 months and the hinge hasn't caused problems--but I've never removed it. I just clean around it.) 4) Painted toilet seats used to be easy to clean, but the last several I've gotten (both Kohler and Bemis) CANNOT handle a strong cleaner. Even using Formula 409 just ONCE can harm the finish (this didn't used to happen 20 years ago). For this one, I've used a mild soap to clean it (so far okay). To disinfect, I've sometimes sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide (which kills salmonella, e.coli and SARS-CoV-2--and is a gentle disinfectant) or I've used Citrus II (a very good disinfectant that is effective against norovirus, etc). I usually wipe it off after a few minutes, so far, the peroxide or Citrus II doesn't seem to harm the finish, but I don't use them often. However, I think that urine can also harm the finish if it isn't cleaned off soon. 5) I thought of getting a plastic seat (instead of a heavy wooden one) as it might be easier to disinfect and more stain resistant, but the reviews on those were mixed. Some of those plastic seats were flimsy. In another model (an expensive one), users complained that after a few months that plastic toilet seat started to have a strong chemical smell. Just an fyi, I was reading an article that mentioned that toilet seats are shaped to encourage people to "do their business." Sitting on them for a long time when you don't need to have a bowel movement can be counterproductive and bad for your regularity. So, if you do have an extra comfortable seat, just be aware that you shouldn't hang out on it. If you're reading a novel, perhaps you should sit on the couch instead.

Really pleased with the sturdy quality and price of this toilet seat
Okay, it's difficult to be thrilled by a toilet seat, but I really am with this one. It's very sturdy, stylish, elegant and well-priced. The quality is great and I love the fact that you can sit on the lid without fear of it buckling. I'm a small woman, but the last toilet seat I bought was plastic and every time I'd sit on the lid, I felt like it might buckle or crack. Not this one! It's stable, strong, durable and easy to keep clean. Best I've ever bought! Also, it was very easy for me to install. I'm an older gal and really appreciate how quick and easy it was for me to attach this to the toilet. Enjoy the photos!

Nice quality, easy removal for cleaning!
This literally took me 60 seconds to install. I moved into an apartment that had been renovated and for some reason they put on the cheapest plastic toilet seat they could find. I have cats and it would attract al the cat hair to it for some reason. I was always cleaning it off and it would also move around no matter how tight I made the screws. This wooden one is great! Itโs nice quality and the cat hair doesnโt cling to it lol. It doesnโt move around either. I like the hinges you can unlock and lift it off to clean. Very easy. With the old one that couldnโt be taken off, when I did take it off, even though I cleaned it all the time, there was a bunch of gunk under the hinges that I could obviously not get to while the seat was attached. You donโt realize what is under there where you canโt see. Gross. Quick note, if you have a problem with the little wing nut catching on the toilet as you turn it, just hold it from underneath and take a screwdriver to the top and just turn the screwdriver to tighten it. I do recommend this seat especially at $16 you canโt go wrong. Plastic ones are more and not nearly as nice.

Nice quality
I had a plastic seat on one of my toilets that was poor quality. My toddler grands spent quite a bit of time squirming on these and they broke easily. So I started my search for a decent quality seat. After some hit and miss searching I found this brand which is a laminated wood. They are not soft close but are heavy duty and look decent on an elongated toilet. It came with no instructions and when I looked for Youtube videos I watched the wrong one which made it very difficult to get on. In the wrong video you have to use a wrench to twist off the top of the nut or else you canโt lift up to seat top. After battling with this thing I finally watched another video and realized I was doing it completely wrong. All you have to do it put the big screw and nut on and the seat goes over it and you can twist on a cover. Extremely easy. Probably the easiest I ever use. I took off a star because there were no instructions and I had never seen a seat that attached like this one so some instructions would have been extremely helpful. In the future if I need another one it will be simple to replace and with this design you can also lift the seat to clean really well. Iโm not a big person but I imagine these would work well for men/women of all weights. This seat had a 4.5 star rating and was only $21.06 which was priced really well for a seat that is probably a bit heavier. This would probably work well with a portable bidet.

Reliable, well-made toilet seat that looks great and is easy to maintain.
Iโm very happy with this Durable Wood Toilet Seat with Easy Clean Hinges. The quality is excellent and you can immediately tell itโs sturdier than typical plastic seats. The wood construction feels solid and comfortable, and the white finish looks clean and classic in the bathroom. The easy-clean hinges are a great feature because they make removing the seat for cleaning quick and simple. Installation was straightforward and only took a few minutes.

Great purchase
Very nice and sturdy wooden toilet seat. Very satisfying for such a low price. Works great with child safety lock. Saturday enough to sit on the lid while itโs closed. Love the easy on and off instillation. Took me 2 mins to put on.

Terrible Toilet Seat. Won't tighten but can't remove
POOR FUNCTIONALITY. I hate this toilet seat. Someone took something simple and made it difficult. I have a round Kohler toilet. I bought a round toilet seat. The toilet seat does not fit my Kohler toilet well, even though it SHOULD fit according to high school math. The seat is slightly too large. The size issue is minor, and I can let that go. The big issue is the bolts/nuts and locks that someone redesigned for this seat. This person who redesigned the toilet seat fasteners on this product needs to return to engineering school. First, the plastic 'nuts' have a lip on them that hits the side of my Kohler toilet and prevents me from tightening the seat 100%. It doesn't say that this seat won't tighten on certain brands or styles of toilets. But guess what, it's incompatible with mine. It can't tighten all the way due to the design. Instead of the seat having a screw on/screw off fasteners, some genius has put locks on the plastic top pieces. Well, the seat is loose again as I can't tighten it 100% due to the bolt lip and my toilet style. And thanks to the stupid plastic locks that won't disengage, I can't remove or seat either. So unless I saw off the bolts/fastners or buy a new toilet, I'm stuck with a loose, wobbly seat. The whole point of replacing the seat was to get one that fits well. I'm so frustrated with this stupid toilet seat. I've replaced other toilet seats in the past, and it gas never been a difficult job. Due to the placement of my toilet, the seat hinges give out more often. You have to sit on the toilet to wash the dog or rinse anything in the tub. It wears out the hinges after a few years. I have never disliked a design change more than this seat design change. When I get back from my trip, I guess I'm using the saws--all to get the stupid plastic bolts off so I can throw this seat in the trash heap where it belongs. The plastic locks won't unlock. With the locks on, I can unscrew the bolts. But since the plastic lip hits the side of the toilet, I also can't tighten the toilet seat. I hope the dog sitter likes a movable seat, because this seat moves around. Once I saw off the bolts and toss this seat, I'll go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy a seat that I can inspect first. I want one without a plastic lip on the bolt and one without the idiotic locks. And I'm not returning the seat because I used it. I do not return used toilet items. But I do NOT recommend this toilet seat to anyone except maybe as a gift to your enemies. It just has too many design flaws.

Perfect!
Perfect! Spent ages searching for a seat that would fit our Kohler toilet and this is perfect, so easy to fit, really good quality and at a sensible price - so many elongated seats were 3 times more expensive. Fast delivery too

Breathtaking, amazing, charming.. whoops I was looking into a mirror.
Through a freak badminton accident my previous lid was shattered into multiple pieces. I had a better chance repairing my previous marriage so I purchased a new one. It fits, I sits!
