Histology: A Text and Atlas: With Correlated Cell and Molecular Biology

Hits what my A&P text misses. This book is much more thorough. Due to ADHD, I sometimes get psychological roadblock when I study a text, so it's nice to be able to mix things up and read the same subjects with a different view and more pics of cells than in my A&P book. The pics are awesome and very helpful. I wouldn't recommend it if you've never cracked open a bio or human bio book. It's got a ton of info, enough for a novice to get overwhelmed. I would have. I also recommend histology guide on the webs too. It's very handy and easy to use with this book. I would still recommend this book over the web alone because it explains what you're seeing in the guide better and in greater detail than my A&P book would. If I knew then what I know now, I could get away with this book and/or Costanzo's physiology and the internet for anatomy or a dedicated anatomy book(Netter's looks pretty good to me) for an undergrad A&P. My Marieb A&P book cost me 300. This plus Netter's 70 dollar Anatomy book and Costanzo's 45 dollar physiology is certainly doable, more thorough, and much cheaper.

This book is very well written, it is full of details, images and slides. The topics have clear and concise summaries that allow you to readily understand what the following section of text is about very well. All chapters I've read so far are clearly delimited. Mind you: I don't even speak english natively, but, in my opinion, this book is amazong, period.The fact it is deep and detailed should not discourage you. This book actually _saved_ me time, to the point I barely spend time studying histology yet having good grades. I manage to save time to apply to other (harder, IMHO) subjects like gross anatomy and biochemistry just by reading this book.Leagues ahead of Gartner or Junqueira and a must have, in my humble opinion. I can't thank the author enough for writing this.

I don't really like histology but since I am taking a class in it I needed a great book to kick up my focus. This is a great book. It is so good that I bought the kindle edition to put on my iPad for when I did not want to carry the book. Highly recommend this book.

I got this book as a reference for my introductory to histology college course. It is a great reference but not the best primary source of information due to the vast amount of biochemistry in the book. However, I must admit this book has a lot of detailed information. One great feature is the summaries at the end of every section which will contain a page of summary text and then some good slide pictures of representative structures. This is what I primarily use to review and has served me great in my exams over the past couple months.

Nothing to dislike. A LOT of information. Arrived in good shape on time. I have basically read almost the entire book.

A major update to a good textbook and atlas for histology. I feel this is one of the few texts designed with the student in mind, especially with the addition of the Histology 101 pages at the end of each chapter.

Useful for my class at great price

Excellent reference for both college and home lab use.

This textbook gives simple explanations on a complicated topic and gives examples of slides and summaries, so it makes the learning experience much easier.

Gift for daughter studying Veterinary Medicine! Fantastic book with lots of information.

i used it for Hisology,biology and microscopic anatomy part of the my anatomy exam, it is a great book by all means.i keep it,and gonna use it in future courses in medicine degree.
