Glad I found these
Purchased a couch here on Amazon and wanted to connect the ottomans to keep them from moving. The manufacturer said they couldn’t sell me extra connectors so after days of trying to find duplicate connectors I found these and thought it was worth a try. They work perfectly. Did the job. Ottomans stay in place and it really was as simple as connecting the rubber bands to the legs of the couch and the ottoman. Not to mention it was only a few dollars. Economical and effective.

Works as advertised
I ordered this because we have wood floors and the kids kept pushing the sectional couch apart. I had tried non skid pads under the legs but it was still migrating. These are like giant rubber bands or a vacuum belt. I slipped it over one leg then had someone hold up the other leg so I could pull and stretch the band over the other leg. It was a little challenging getting it stretched but it wouldn't stay in place if it wasn't tight. I tried doing it by myself but I needed both hands to stretch it quickly and efficiency. It's much easier to do with someone holding up the sectional so you can have better leverage. I think it will hold up well for at least a year or more. You know how rubber breaks down and becomes brittle over time. It's a very effective, easy, affordable solution. I didn't want to have to try to install hardware to keep it together. I also put non-skid pads under the legs for added stability to the couch. This has worked great. Now stuff isn't getting lost between the sections and people aren't sinking into the cracks. And the kids can't keep pushing the couch apart. I would definitely buy this again. The only thing I was going to add is that my couch legs look like the ones in the advertisement pictures, straight up and down, same width top to bottom. I can see where these wouldn't work if you had tapered couch legs, potentially.

Proceed with caution
I bought these to hold my modular couch together. They have very short and thick legs. When the rubber bands actually stays on, it works. But most of the time it pops off and the cushions slide around. These are also a hassle to put on.

AWESOME product!
With a seven piece sectional, I wondered how well these could work, but decided to try them first before any of the options that required drilling into my expensive couch. It wasn't an issue in the last house with carpeting, but now it is on a wood floor and I quickly found that just laying on the couch could lead to falling in between sections - especially during the night, imagine waking up to that. I bought a bunch of these, 4 packs, and secured my couch as many ways as I could (which is very awkward of course, these bands are tight and trying to reach into tight spaces under the couch without seeing what you are doing isn't ideal, but you only have to do it once, hopefully - I had one band slip off a month ago the day after they were first installed, no problems since). These things are fantastic! I can sleep all night on the couch if I want and the sections do not separate. There may be a little give that creates a little gap with pressure, but the sections push right back together and you can feel the band holding tight. I keep a blanket covering my sectional, so even the occasional little gaps don't bother me at all. The legs on my couch are identical to the legs on the couch in the picture, but these bands should work on most legs, although tapered legs may be an issue that could cause the bands to slip off. Overall, I love them.

Great idea, Poor quality over time?
The first set I purchased in 2018 last 5 years. The rubber wore out, finally breaking. I purchased another set in 2023, which lasted a few months. I tried to find a better option, but there aren't many. I'm taking a chance with a third set, keeping my fingers crossed that it was a bad batch that I purchased the last time.

Bought the same item two years ago but the recent purchase is not as worth it as the 2019/2020 quality.

Why did you choose this product over others?: these are just some crappy rubber bands that will break the first time anyone moves the garden sofa. really useless sending back
