Wonderful bed and exceptional customer service
The mattress inflates quickly to full size and firmness. The top surface is cloth-like so it's comfortable under a fitted sheet. Its extra height makes it easy to get in and out of - even for old folks like me. It comes in a strong bag for storage. Customer service was very responsive, even on the weekend. They honored their one year warranty without question. I'm buying a couple more to give as gifts for my family.

Great product - great customer support.
Nice looking mattress. Exceedingly easy to inflate, deflate and store. Lightweight enough to easily fold and fit back into its carry/storage bag. Guests report that it is very comfortable and good quality - sheets fit well and don't ride up or slip off. I also appreciate their excellent customer service. This is the ideal extra sleeping space.

Best bed I have had for a very long time. (July 2023 Addendum)
First, the basics. I purchased a "SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress with ComfortCoil Technology". The size I purchased is a Twin XL. Everything that I read in the description for this Air Mattress is correct. The bed, out of the box, inflated in 5 minutes or less. The bed came very well packed in a box, and while the box had a few impact marks, the bed and the bag that it came packed in were in perfect condition. It also comes with a patch kit with I believe, enough material to patch two holes. The top has a waffled effect and it is "flocked", if that is the correct term. I like both as the "waffle" effect allow my shoulders and head to "sink into" the bed and for my back to get more support. The flocking is almost a skid resistant surface "holds" both blankets and sheets pretty much stay in place and prevents them from sliding around on the bed. The bed also has, when inflated, a kind of a raised bumper all the way around the edges which is very nice as it tells you where you are on the bed if you need to know. The top is supposed to be easy to clean which is a feature I hoped I would never have to us. Of course, that is not the case. On about the fifth night of sleeping on the bed I noticed that there was something on the mattress which turned out to be a piece of pie crust from one of the blankets I was using. The pie crust left an oily mark about two inches square. A little dish soapy water and the oily mark came right off and the mattress looks as good as new. No problem with the flocking coming off either. This is the most comfortable bed I have slept on in many, many years. My wife likes a bed that is almost rock hard which leaves my back and neck without support and aching when I get up in the morning. With this air mattress I can now adjust the bed to just how firm or soft I want it. I keep the bed inflated all the time and, so far, have only had to add air to it about every four to five days ~ 20-30 seconds and the mattress is back just where I like it. While the inflation/deflation fans are somewhat loud, only using them for 20-30 seconds once a week really makes the noise a non-issue. The electric cord for the fans even has a nice storage place built into the mattress to keep it out of the way. I was also concerned about getting hot sleeping on what is really a plastic surface. So far, I have been perfectly comfortable on this mattress. I suspect the flocking helps with that as well. I realize that this mattress is not really supposed to be an every night forever kind of a bed, but I am going to use it like that for as long as I can. I have been sleeping on it for six or seven weeks and have enjoyed it every night. When it wears out, provided it is still available, I will happily purchase another one. Addendum: One day earlier this week, it is now July 21, 2023, my Dream Series air mattress finally stopped retaining its air. At first it was a very slow leak, about 12 hours for the mattress to get "squishy". Last night it only took about 5 hours. Today I called the SoundAsleep support number and spoke with Casey. I can honestly say that for as much as I like the mattress, the customer support is even better. Not only was Casey pleasant and knowledgeable to talk to, she is going to replace my mattress and has even expedited the shipping on it. Yes, even though I am using the mattress as my long term bed which it is not meant for. So, in a couple of days I will have a new "dream" series mattress! The only drawback to this whole experience is that now I have to renew my search for an air mattress that is actually meant to be a "long term" bed and keep my SoundAsleep mattress as a backup. I sure hope I can find one that comes close to being as comfortable as my SoundAsleep mattress. This product and this company are keepers!

The trick to getting it back in the bag...
Update, as of 09 January, 2026 I've noticed a lot of comments that the mattress is difficult to get back into that bag. That too has always been my experience. Then I did a little experiment this morning that seems to work. 1. Lay the mattress on a flat floor and inflate it all the way (no need to make it rock-hard). 2. Turn the pump switch to "deflate" and observe as the air leaves the mattress. 3. When it is about 1/2 deflated (with the motor still running) begin folding in the sides. Fold the first side about 2/3 of the way across the remaining side. Try to "tuck in" the side areas as you fold. Neatness counts. 4. As soon as you are able (again, with the motor still running), fold the remaining 1/3 of the mattress back onto the side you worked with in step 3. Try to make the folds "as neat as possible". 5. When step four is "pretty much complete" grab the non-motor end and fold the mattress in half, end to end. 6. Continue to try to "tuck everything in" until the mattress if fully deflated. Let the motor run another minute or so, just to make sure all the air is out, as you continue to "tuck everything neatly). 7. While it will be a bit of a squeeze, the mattress should now fit into the bag. Good luck! =============== I bought this mattress about 7 months ago to use as a guest bed. It has served that purpose very well, being easy to setup and take down. When inflated, it really feels like a "real bed". In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it's actually more comfortable than standard mattress sest. The air inside adjusts to the body perfectly and never sags (like a conventional mattress can do.) The person sleeping can adjust the firmness to persona taste in just seconds. The built-in pump fills the bed FAST! From empty to full, took less than 5 minutes. My guests tend to use it for 3 or 4 nights at a time. During their "stays", I've never had to top-up the air. (The only exception was when it was first new and took a little while for the material to stretch a bit. Once that was done, however, it seems to hold air really well.) After using it intermittently for those 7 months, my recent Thanksgiving guests reported it was leaking air. To make a long story short, I contacted the "SoundAsleep" support team. First sending them an email explaining the issue, then calling them by phone about 5 minutes later at the suggestion of their immediate automated email reply. In this day and age, I always expect to be lost in some phone system hell, then be forced to do battle with customer service departments. Such was not the case this time, however. I was amazed that my call went straight through to a very polite customer service agent. Not only was there virtually no wait time, but also when I started to explain that I had just sent them an email, the agent asked, "Oh... Is this "<my name>"? Not only had she already pulled up my email, but she had read it and was ready for the conversation and called me by name. To make a long story short, she immediately took care of me, and after a very short verification of my purchase from Amazon, she kindly said, "we will send you out a replacement tomorrow by priority shipping". No muss, no fuss! Amazing! In today's world, it's so rare that a product performs so well... then (if necessary) that the company so completely and quickly stands behind its product, if an issue happens to arise. My only regret is that I can't give this company and their products MORE than 5 Stars! One of the reasons I chose this mattress initially was that it (and the company) got top ratings in reviews that I read before ordering. Those high reviews were not exaggerated. In retrospect, going with this product was a wise decision on my part! I highly recommend this product and the company standing behind it.

Solid product. Excellent customer service
****Update - April 2015 **** This mattress is still holding up very well. I no longer use it as frequently as when I first received the mattress but when guests come to stay over I take it out of the storage bag and blow it up without a problem. I am still quite pleased with the purchase. **** I got my Soundasleep air mattress last week. Given my living situation in the past year I have been using air beds quite a bit and have had (unfortunately) more than a few models. So far I have been pretty impressed with this one. The first night I slept on it was great. The mattress blew up very quickly (you just flip the switch and it automatically starts inflating – no valves to open or close). The bed is the right height for me and has a nice soft top to it. I put some sheets on it and slept like a dream. I did notice that the mattress seemed to lose a small amount of air over the course of the second night. I thought there might be a leak in the product and reached out to customer support via their website. Having owned my fair share of air mattresses over the years my experience with these companies is that they do not want to be bothered after a sale – basically you are on your own after purchase. I got a support rep on my first call after only a couple minutes, and she seemed eager to help me. The rep said that the mattresses are made from PVC, a plastic material that naturally stretches, and that stretching was normal during the first couple of uses (evidently SoundAsleep does something during production to minimize this stretching). The rep suggested that this natural stretching was likely the cause and that I should deflate the mattress fully, reinflate one more time and then try it for one more night. She seemed very certain that would solve the issue and the mattress would remain firm once it was fully stretched out. She even offered to follow up with me in a few days to make sure everything was working normally. The prompt and helpful support was refreshing and a nice change from the normal customer support these days. I followed her advice and the mattress did stay very firm the following evening. I followed up with an email letting her know it worked as suggested and within 15 minutes the same rep responded that she was happy to help out. As a Prime member, and frequent Amazon user, I am a huge fan of outstanding customer service. The fact that the rep was so thorough really made me feel good about the purchase. I’ll definitely update this review in the future but I am sold on this product today and would recommend it to friends and family.

Great bed, even greater customer service
Purchased this Aug 2025 for a cross country move where we didn’t have our mattress until the movers came a week later. It inflated very easily and was great to sleep on (we purchased a separate mattress topper from somewhere else and together with this airbed it felt like sleeping on a real bed). Fast forward to Apr 2026 and I inflate this airbed for guests but notice that it has deflated considerably the next day. I had lost the patch kit that may have originally come with the order but I called the number on the bag for customer service. I accidentally had called 5 min outside the customer service hours (11AM -7PM EST). 5 min later, Casey from their customer service team called me back and was able to guide me with next steps. Honestly it was shocking and refreshing to speak to a native English speaker and not an automated bot. After providing my original Amazon order number, I was able to get a refund and purchase a new mattress with same day delivery. Glad I read the other reviews here about the great customer service. I am extremely pleased with the politeness, promptness, and effectiveness of Casey and this customer service process. I will be whole heartedly recommending this mattress as it was recommended to me previously (for good reason clearly).

SoundAsleep Dream Series Air Mattress with ComfortCoil Technology
Update: 19 May 2014: Sometimes the measure of the quality of a product is not necessarily in each item as much as it is in the item and in the company that stands behind the product. Every company can have a problem, no matter how good the company is or how diligent they are in inspection. The difference is in how they react to a problem when it arises. As most people are familiar with, a lot of warranties are not worth the paper they are written on or the cyber space they take up. How many times have you read a warranty that requires you to mail a product back at your expense and that the shipment has to be insured and track able? Too many times I am sure to the point where you probably do not think much about trying to have something fixed when it breaks since the shipping can be more than the value of the product, not to mention the time and aggravation trying to get a RMA for the product. Imagine my surprise when I received not only two e-mails, but a phone call from the president of the company on SUNDAY because he was concerned about my issue with his product! Not only that, but he really wanted the product back so that his people could figure out what the problem was so that they could correct it!! How easy it would be to just ignore the problem or take the least expensive way out and just call the problem a fluke. Instead, he wanted to ensure that the problem could be identified and rectified!!! He even is sending a prepaid sticker for the return of the item. Because of all of the efforts being made to not only make me happy, but to ensure a quality product, I have moved my review back to the original 4 star rating. I will adjust that if time and circumstances warrant it. ================================================================================================================== Update: 18 May 2014 Ok, it has been just over two months since I started using this bed and it failed spectacularly tonight! Just after midnight the top of the mattress let go with a circular opening (right around the area that the circles on the top are) that is about 5 inches long. Interesting way to wake up with the mattress collapsed around you. This is NOT a way to become impressed. A couple of things to note: 1. This mattress has only been used by me. 2. I had a two inch memory foam cover on top of the mattress because I did not like the feel of the circles in the mattress. 3. This bed has NOT been abused in any way. No, there are no kids that could have jumped on it or anything like that. So, at this point, I would NOT recommend this mattress. Since I have house guests, I will need to go out and get a new mattress tomorrow. For now, I will sleep on the floor!! I will update this if there is anything to add. ============================================================================================================================================================================== I needed a better bed than the futon we had provided, so I thought I would give this a try. Here is what I liked: 1. Light weight and folds into a small package for storage. 2. Built in air pump that does a great job filling the unit. It also has a setting to remove the air from the mattress when you want to pack it back up. 3. Felt like cover on the top is much nicer than dealing with straight vinyl. 4. The bed is comfortable when it is inflated fully as long as you put a pad (I used a two inch memory foam top) to cover up the rolls on the top of the bed. They are a bit uncomfortable for me without the pad. Here is what I did not like as much: 1. When you first inflate the bed there is a VERY strong vinyl smell!!! It takes 5 to 6 days to get the smell to get to a point where it is tolerable. It eventually seems to go away, but you might want to ensure you inflate this an air it out for several days before using it. 2. As others have mentioned, you need to keep filling it up every day for about a week. It seems that the material does some stretching before it gets to a shape it will hold. Just so that you know, it starts out as a rectangle shape and as it stretches, it becomes a little more like a circle in that the ends and middle parts stretch out. 3. After the bed has stretched, it seems to need to have a bit of air added to it every 4 to 5 days. It does not take more than a minute to do this, but you should be aware of it. It does not go flat, it just gets a little bit on the soft side. More noticeable when you sit on the edge of the bed as when you are getting up or first getting in. 4. A fitted sheet does not really want to stay on. I took care of this by passing two elastic bands under the bed (one at each end) that had clips and attached those clips to the fitted sheet. Not perfect, but does an adequate job. 5. This is still lower than a regular bed would be by about two to three inches. Overall, I a happy with the bed and it will serve its function as something to use on an intermittent basis.

Years of Reliable Sleepovers & Truly Exceptional Customer Service
We’ve been using our SoundAsleep Dream Series Luxury Air Mattress (full size) for sleepovers for several years, and it has been fantastic. When our kids were younger, it was easily big enough for two to share comfortably. Now that they’re 10, the raised sides around the perimeter do take up a bit more sleeping space, so two can still fit, but it’s a little cozier than it used to be. That said, the raised edges and internal coils are part of what make this mattress so stable and comfortable in the first place. The inflation and deflation features have worked seamlessly every single time- quick, easy, and not overly noisy. The bottom material keeps the mattress from sliding around on hardwood floors, and the soft top layer adds noticeable comfort. We’ve never had an issue with leaks until very recently, which is impressive given how often it’s been used. When I called the company for help troubleshooting, I was absolutely blown away by the customer service. Casey returned my call promptly (three times, since I missed the first two) and provided clear, detailed instructions to help me control the leak. It turned out I had misdiagnosed the issue, so I called back with new information. Casey immediately remembered my situation and, although there wasn’t a simple fix, offered a solution that was incredibly generous considering our warranty had long since expired. Because of its durability, thoughtful design, and truly outstanding customer support, I would not hesitate to recommend this air mattress to anyone looking for a dependable, comfortable option for guests or sleepovers. Five stars without hesitation!

Motor burns out and smokes
As soon as I turned the pump on it smoke started to come out. I turned it off, manually deinflated and more smoke was coming out inside the air mattress. I took it outside and poured water on the pump and the smoke stopped.

Good stuff… but.
Bought it for a weekend getaway. Inflated and deflated quickly. Light to move around. Feels more like a real bed than I was expecting. The mattress doesn’t make any noise when moving around, the motor might be a little loud for some. I’d compare it to a small vacuum. But less than 4 mins to fill it wasn’t a big deal at all. My only complaint would be the length. I’m 6’1, I got on the mattress, however, the edges are raised and can be a little bit annoying. I think a smaller topper (memory foam or pad) would fix that issue easily. I would definitely recommend this mattress.

What leaks?... No leaks here
Very convenient last Christmas. Reasonable price, readily available, fast delivery. My 66 year old sister said she slept comfortably and had no issues with this bed. Durable, easy inflation/deflation, small footprint to repack and stow away until next visit. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
