VisioneerRW2-WU RoadWarrior 2 Business Scanner

This scanner is small and light-weight. It may be great, but since I have a Mac, I wouldn't know. Sure would have been nice if the description specified that it only works with Windows. I was fooled by the information referring to the ability to save to a "cloud" for access from my Mac. After reading several reviews for other scanners, I see that some are specifically for Macs and some are specifically for Windows. Lesson learned: Use the actual product website to double-check the platform(s) available.

I used Visioneer PaperPort years ago at work. Loved it. Now I wanted to digitize and organize my paperwork. This is the perfect tool. It can do OCR, but I don't need that. All I need is a copy of documents and a record of purchases (scan in receipts). The software knocks the sock of other document organizers.Just a heads up...I wanted to upgrade my Windows 8 computer to 8.1, but the software is not compatible with Win8.1. An upgrade is available, however.

I've used Visioneer scanners for over 10 years. They are work horses in a small package. So far I am happy with my new scanner, which I had to buy as my original Visioneer Strobe (bought in 2001 and still works!!!) didn't have drivers for Windows 7. If I could update it, I would still be using it. Very reliable.

I really like this scanner. I've been using the older version and really like the portability and usability of these scanners. The Paperport software is very nice and simple. My only complaint is that it does not automatically adjust the paper size for smaller documents like receipts. You manually have to do that. A bit of a pain but other than that it's great and the price is fantastic.

The quality of the scans is horrible. Definitely not good enough for documents. Looks like there is Vaseline on the lense, pretty much unreadable.

I needed something small and light weight to take from Illinois to Oslo, Norway and be carried in a suit case and backpack w/ a laptop. And copy lots a photo's and documents it worked great color and black and white and it works great with my paperport program.

This scanner did not work out if the box. I returned it for a refund. I was very disappointed with my dealings trying to get it to function.

Don't waste your time or money. Doesn't scan receipts straight, legibly, or quickly. Also quite slow. Nothing like the units used at most professional offices.
