Schezwan and Tangy are some of the best Vegetarian instant food I have tried during lockdown
I went on a buying binge for long shelf life, easy to make food when lockdown hit.Schezwan:This stuff is not what I expected when I got it. Im use to the tasty bite, instant indian food that all taste pretty much the same (lets be honest). Im not sure where the Schezwan part comes in other than its kinda spicy. Not enough to make your lips warm, but when it hits your stomach, you can feel the little bit of warmth to it. The flavor is pretty amazing for being vegetarian instant food. I cant identify any of the spices, but it all works out. Which makes for a new refreshing flavor that you arent already sick of.Tangy:This is my favorite so far, by far. I honestly was freaked out by the peanuts at first - Im not a fan of cooked peanuts in my food. The taste is so unusual and amazing though, the peanuts really add a nice hint to it and they arent crunchy, just softened up a bit. The addition of the curry leaves is what makes it incredible though.Never had them before trying this despite loving curry in its traditional forms. The leaves dont taste like what I thought they would. They are like a burst of fresh vegetable flavor. They are balanced perfectly though, not too much and not too little.I super recommend this stuff. Its very filling, you dont get hungry an hour or two later, and its very comforting when you want something warm but not soup, and are too lazy to make anything else. Takes like 3 minutes once you add the hot water for it to be ready.I wasnt sure about it when I first tried it - the flavors are so unique, but by the end of the cup, I was at my pc ordering more.Doesnt taste like Chinese, and doesnt taste like Indian from a real restaurant to me (It may taste like Indian and I just havent had the pleasure of trying that region of India yet). The consistancy is like stovetop stuffing if you add to the water line it suggests. I like to add to the "T" in "Water" on the marker for consistency more like cheddar rice or VERY fluffy stuffing once it absorbs the water. - Almost double the water it tells you to use. Adjust accordingly.I hope they add more flavors to the poha line like Tangy and Schezwan. The mix of spices that arent common is a really nice break from every other instant food that is available.

Absolutely delicious!
This was the first time I ordered this. My bookclub had a theme dinner of Indian food to go with the book we read. This rice dish was a side dish to go with tikke chicken masala. I was surprised that it was delicious! Everyone loved it. It wasn't too spicy, it was perfect and easy to prepare!

Wonderful meals. Occasionally careless/inaccurate shipping.
I love these little meals! They're delicious, easy to make, and a great value. They're also filling and pretty healthy. The only complaint I have is that a couple of times (out of many orders) I didn't get what I ordered. Recently, my order for the variety pack of five different meals resulted in a shipment that contained five of the same thing, which unfortunately meant I got a whole set of my least favorite meal, the only one I'm not crazy about. This flavor also showed up twice in another variety 5-pack. (There’s nothing wrong with it; it's just sweet and I prefer spicy and savory.) I don't know if these mistakes resulted from carelessness or from uneven supplies. Will order again and hopefully get what I asked for, because I love and appreciate the product very much!!

Not worth the money
Please save your money this is definitely not worth it. The only good thing is the flavour.

Quick-fixin' snack
I like the speed in which each container was made ready to eat. All five of them (in this purchase) either utilize a microwave by adding water & popping them into the microwave, or boiling water poured over the product and allowed to set. That's good. The less-than-good is that they all taste the same. The flavors are strong but not as vibrant as Indian cuisine generally is. Still, a good pantry snack to have on hand when hunger attacks.

Easily 2 servings in each cup, hearty, authentic, convenient
I first bought the assortment (5 cups, one upma, one vermicelli, three flavors of poha) before the COVID lockdown started. I like stocking some vegan, Indian ready-to-eat meals. I cook 90% of the time, so I'm picky and also try different brands and products. This is SO GOOD that I've been looking out for it since February (3 months ago). (1) It's amazingly hearty. Even at 3 bucks a cup, you easily get 2 servings. Keep the lids handy, because without exception, I end up putting the lid on and putting leftovers in the fridge. If you chuck in some yogurt, or curry, or a soup you've got sitting around, or just a chopped salad, you've got two filling lunches in a cup, rather than snacks. (2) Compared to similar products from MTR, Kitchens of India etc, this tastes much better. The spices taste fresh and really authentic. The upma, for example, is full of whole mustard and peanuts, rather than a bland texture-less paste. (3) You can tell they've put thought into designing for convenience. The cups handle well, are sturdy enough that they don't get too hot or damp to carry around, contents are sealed in airtight foil pouches, easy markings for how much water to add.5 stars, and I'm going to keep these in my shopping list for good!

Lemon Poha is good, the rest, meh
The Lemon Poha is very tasty. The others none of us could eat. Don't understand why the Lemon Poha isn't available separately for purchase. Won't buy again with just one we can eat. Too bad.
