How to Make Handmade Shampoo Bars: The Budget Edition

This book was easy to read and understand. I liked that it came with recipes and talked about the different kinds of soap making. But I wish it talked about cold process soap making.

This book gives you ideas, receipes, and examples on how to make your own shampoo bars.I have been going to all natural; however it is way to expensive for my pocketbook to buy so decided to try to make my own.I love this book.... I have made three batches of them so far and they are great!

I was really surprised that the photos were in black and white very disappointing. Melt and Pour recipe did not even cover the importance of soap temperature

I've read better recipes in other books. I would not buy it again. Matter of fact I doubt I'll use any of the recipes in this book.

Found the cover annoying as it will not keep flat ( curls up). Contents are easy reading and good tips given.

This book tells you how to take pre-made melt and pour soap or rebatch soap, melt it down, add in your hair pampering ingredients, and then pour them into molds.Her recipes are simple and clear, and she has a useful section at the front of the book that provides an overview of ingredients that are good for hair and why.I tried a couple of the recipes from this book and they turned out well. I also tried modifying a base recipe using some of her other suggested ingredients. If you have never made shampoo bars and you'd like to try, then this will be a useful book for you. Good for beginners.

I could find this information googling. Not worth it.
