The real thing, not a cheap imitation.
I purchased the Myofascial Releaser Ellipse Plus. It came with an instruction book with clear directions, and good anatomical drawings. I have been using the tool for 2 months for muscle soreness, but also myofacial scarring release that I usually see a physical therapist to help with. Unable to do appointments, this has been an adequate substitute. The tool works really well on muscle release. It is large enough to handle big areas, but is stable in my hand. The rough surface in the middle helps with holding on even when using the emollient. It also has small surfaces that I use on my hands and neck. The edges are finely tooled and the weight is perfect. It seems expensive for one tool, but it is worth the money.

One of the best all around multi-tools out there
To give some background, I am a 10 year orthopedic/sports lmt, who works for the Orlando city soccer team, as well as a few select Olympic athletes, fighters, and wwe wrestlers. At the clinic I work for, the chiropractors all use graston tool, and look down on those who aren't certified in it (graston does not certify lmts). I was interested in iastm, and wanted to utilize for working with my athletes. When i started with Ocsc, the athletic trainer there trained me with a series of myofascial releasers tools. I was very impressed with the quality of the tools and how it felt in my hands as I worked. Since i couldnt immediately buy the 5 piece set, i sought out purchasing an all purpose tool for me to practice and work on my own with. That led me to the ellipse 2. This is perfect for me when i do events or work with my crossfitters and fighters! The grip is sturdy, the bevel smooth, and the different shapes really help me get into alot of areas. The price point was really appreciated as well! I feel like I made out like a bandit. To this day, friends and trainers keep asking me where I got my tool, how it feels more responsive then the ones they are using. I am glad I got mine when I did. Looking forward to getting that set in the future! From me, Orlando city soccer, and all my fighters from karate and UFC, thank you myofascial releasers!

Ellipse soft tissue tool
All you can ask for when it comes to the price in comparison to most other soft tissue tools. Personally, the beveled edge wasn't sharp as I like but it fits well in the hand and doesn't weigh much. Good purchase for the price!

I liked the hook curve and overall versatility however sent it ...
Heavier than other tools I have used (hawk grips). All the edges were the same double edge. I liked the hook curve and overall versatility however sent it back due to lack of single edge. Upgrade was too much $$$ for me

Decent instrument
Item is of good quality and edges are decent. A little overpriced.

Fantastic
Absolutely fantastic. - I own 5 other tools and this is the first one that's just exactly the right edge and shape. I' want to dig right into a stubborn muscle, but without pain or excessive bruising? The wider end is exactly what I've been searching for to do that. I can't e. - The smaller end is fantastic for more precise (and uncomfortable) digging into a stubborn muscle. It's worked great. - The grippy parts work, I can still use this tool well after getting the glide cream on my hands. Minor points I wish were better: - The grippier parts works well, but it would be nice if it was more aesthetically pleasing. Tool looks a bit harsh when I showed it to some family at christmas. - The sides of the tool are meant to dig into muscle...so they do that a little bit into your hands...would be nicer if that area was more ergonomic on my hands as I use it. I'm giving this a 5/5 - the 2 contoured ends are just so perfect, this has been more useful than my 5 other tools I already own.

Great tool, good price!
I am very satisfied with my purchase, I use this tool for physical therapy soft tissue interventions and it is very effective. The edges are nicely beveled, and the design allows for use on multiple body regions. It is a little heavier than some other tools I have used, but personally I like that feature since it feels sturdy in my hands. It is easy to grip and manipulate and has solid reasonnance for assessment of tissues. Overall great tool and far less expensive than other brands!

Glad i got it
So far its everything I wanted and expected. Very sturdy, nice comfortable double beveled edge, and has some good weight to it. I love the fact that it came with a book with some good information for any novice. The case and emollient are great extras.
