A Realistic Mafia Romance!
This is going to sound strange, but this is the only way my brain can explain this story accurately: Reading this book was like listening to a calm narrator on audiobook while sitting on a soft fluffy cloud. The story is well told with dual narration, but the characters, especially Lucian were so calm and almost monotone that the story didn't feel nearly as dark or disturbing as it should. It was like it was coated with fluffyness. Not that that is bad an anyway, it just threw me off as I was expecting dark, violence, and triggers. While that darkness is there it is not worrying or troubling to read. I loved this story and will read more in the future.Lucian is an amazing character. He is alpha and a mad man without being dominate or crass. His women was amazing as well, she just fit right into his life and their romance was epic. This is one of a very few stories that I have ever read tgat felt real. Lije you coukd really experience these situations or people. There was very little fantasy and a lot of fictional reality. So enjoyable! What I loved most about this entire book was that it was written with honest words. The characters trusted each ither and TALKED OUT THEIR PROBLEMS! I am so tired of stories trying to rely on missed communication as the basis of the plot. This was not one of those stories. The characters got into arguments, misunderstood each other, but the conflict was resolved with in the chapter, so the story could focus on the real plot! I cannot explain how amazing tgat is to read!

Insta-Love Mafia Romance
I enjoyed Lucian, and felt like it was an intriguing mix of MC gang and Italian Mafia. The mafia world is described well and I can tell a lot of research was put into it.Our heroine, Jordyn, is a 'possession' of an MC club and they treat her pretty horribly. There's definitely a dark side to the first part of the story where there are some graphic descriptions of physical abuse to the heroine.Lucian is the son of the boss of NYC, and when he sees Jordyn for the first time he's immediately drawn to her and wants to help her.We had a serious case of insta-love going on. And, unfortunately, that's just one of my pet peeves and something that I quickly lose interest in.Lucian is a great hero. Compassionate, and wants to do everything he can to protect Jordyn. He's a hero you could actually see yourself with in real life. And I liked that a lot about him. This could have been a story I loved minus the insta-love and some added conflict between the H and h. Becuase there was no conflict at all. They fell into an amicable relationship really soon, and the story slowed way down for me.Just because I didn't love this one doesn't mean I won't be trying out the others in the series.

One of the best Mafia Romance ever!!
“Love can make a bad man a monster...”This book is one of the best I’ve read so far in the mafia romance genre, I was expecting something completely different, but this is pure mafia and pure romance; infatuation between the characters, I just loved it. I’ve been reading so much about sweet love and romance in all its glory so I needed to make the very delicate transition from sweet to dark again, and this series just prove me that we can have sweet with dark in one and Bethany-Kris is the perfect author for that to happen.Jordyn is living in fear, she knows that there’s no one that can take care of her, so her safety and her future are in her own hands, but there’s someone how really wants her to fail and is willing to make that happen even if he has to force her and break her.Lucian Marcello, the eldest son of the Don of The Cossa Nostra is the one you fear, his name is attached to a past he can’t forget, but that past and his present is what has built the man he is today. After seeing Jordyn he can’t get any peace of mind, he needs her, but the moment he decided to act on it he came across with an almost broken girl…vengeance is the only way he can give her a new life. This book just became attached to my heart, it is so beautifully written in third person and after reading the first chapter I was hooked. Believe me when I tell you that this book is worth the risk of reading something completely out of your comfort zone.

interesting way to start Lucian's story
I enjoyed the way the story started, learning how the hero, Lucian, became part of his family. It was interesting. I also liked the story and the characters.Lucian was the typical one night stand manhoe, using women for sex and never having a relationship. When he met Jordyn, the heroine, that changed. For the first time he was possessive and protective towards a woman and gave up his manhoe ways. I always like scenes where the hero displays his possessiveness but prefer neither actually have sex with anyone else. I loved how neither main character had sex with OW/OM after meeting. Jordyn made the best of a bad situation not letting her harsh childhood negativity impact her behavior. She was part of a MC group but not by choice. I liked that she did not sleep around only having sex with the MC man that claimed her, giving her protection from being used by the MC members. There is a scene of violence against Jordyn that I found painful to read but I could handle it because she was never raped. I thought that the sex scenes were hot and the story had a HFN ending. I would have preferred a HEA ending but understand that there will probably be more books in the series and therefore was ok with it. I hope that any future stories that have Jordyn and Lucian in them continue to show them being happy.

Loving this family
Great read! Learning about Lucian's early history in Antony, I couldn't wait to dive into this book and I was not disappointed. Just like his father when Lucian met the woman that completes him he can't get her out of his head - even though he doesn't know her name. Lucky for him, family business brings them face to face! I will admit I did guess who was the "bad guy" for one part of the story but not the reason why. My heart did break for Jordyn and what she went through, but I loved how strong a person she was. Loved what her new job ending up being.

Compulsive read
Lucian was adopted in the Marcello family when he was eight years old. Antony and Cecelia treat him equally to their two sons, Dante and Giovanni. An impressive trio.Lucian has his own team and conducts his businesses in a very effective way. He has no intention of settling down yet.Jordyn was brought up in an MC. She works as a barmaid in one of their clubs. Now that her protector is no longer around to keep her safe, the president has other ideas about what she should be doing. When Lucian goes to confession on a Sunday, he encounters this blue eyed, dark haired beauty who leaves him speechless. He doesn't know anything about her but he can't get her out of his mind. He comes across her again when attending a meeting as she is the server of his table. Jordyn recognises him but keeps her mouth shut. Lucian discovers that she is not there by choice and he doesn't like the way some of club members treat her. He decides to pay her a visit but is a little too late. She has been badly beaten up and is in a terrible state. He takes her under his wings to protect her. They now have to watch their backs as the MC president considers Jordyn to be club property! Just when they think that the danger has passed, there is an attempt on Lucian's life. He has a price on his head but who is behind these coups? In the meantime the attraction between them gets stronger by the day. Can Jordyn adapt to Lucian's way of life? What about the Marcellos, will they agree to this prospective relationship? Will Lucian ever find out who is trying to kill him? This story is full of danger, betrayal, crimes and loyalty. It's sensual and romantic. I found it to be a real page turner and the suspense makes for a compulsive read.

Could be good but needs editing.
There was quite a lot to like about this book, a strong heroine, well paced story and clearly the author had done some research but sadly it was let down by poor English. Words were misused (saddle up instead of sidle up, subtle in place of supple etc.) and the grammar was all over with mashed tenses on each page. A good editing is needed and then I would have given it 4 stars because it has potential to be very enjoyable. It was free so the mistakes were excusable but I would be reluctant to pay for the rest of the series until the books are properly edited.

A Great Mafioso Dark Read
This being the first book in the Filthy Marcello’s Series for me Lucian was off to a great start! This genre is one of my favourite reads and Bethany-Kris is the best of the best authors in this genre too! A well written storyline with lots of twists and turns, I certainly never expected. A really fast paced, on the edge of your seat read.Lucian is the quiet, brooding eldest son in the Marcello Crime Family and Jordyn Reese is the mystery woman he sees in the confessional box at his families church. His first taste of instant lust and knowing she will be his no matter what! But can he save Jordyn from the clutches of Will Vetta President of the Sons of Hell Chapter who says that Jordyn is the property of Legs and Leather. Can Jordyn handle the Mafia families corrupt and deadly lifestyle? Can Lucian protect and keep Jordyn safe from the threat of Will Vettas’ psychotic hatred for Jordyn?

I really enjoyed Lucian and how he loved Jordyn and brought her ...
I am only now reading Lucian's story. I did not read the series in order. I really enjoyed Lucian and how he loved Jordyn and brought her into the family. The whole series is great. I love that this author has written her books in such a way that you don't have to read all the series in the correct order to enjoy the stories. This definitely worth a read if love mafia romance.

Really good read
This book surprised me. Lucian is mafioso and I expected him to be rough, dangerous and a hard man. When he met Jordyn their was an instant attraction and when he found out she was in danger he saved her. The love he showed her wasn't what I expected and even with all the other things going on it really was a love story.
