SPACE PEN Backpacker Space Pen, Black (BP/B)

Pen broke, the body comes away from each other when you pull the lid recealing tje cartridge inside. It'sa lose fitting. Considering how much it cost, terrible quality.

Received a different type to the one advertised. Good pen. Does what it says on the tin.

I want to like this pen... the inner/ink works well as you'd expect... however, the kicker is that it's not overly comfortable to write with for a long time - and the biggest issue is the major design flaw that (as others have pointed out) makes it randomly unscrews itself.

I bought one of these as I'd had good experiences with a similar item. Unfortunately within a week or two of me starting to use, it fell apart and part of the casing is lost to me as it disintegrated while attached to a lanyard. But what was very annoying was that two emails about this produced no personal response whatsoever from the trader, which seems abysmal as customer service. Not even a chance to have any sort of dialogue about it. I certainly won't be buying another one.

Great pen, great concept let down by relying on a push fit rather than a screw fit to hold the pen to the cap. I now have a very expensive cap and no pen.

For something that's marketed for backpackers / everyday carry – the pen design seems to have a bad choice of a push-fitting instead of a screw-on design to secure the barrel. I do not recommend this expensive product.

Worth it! Great backpack or pocket pen love it and nice colour too.

Seis meses después me dice que sigue funcionando como el primer día, no le ha fallado ni una vez y está muy contento con él. Tiene una argolla para poder colgarlo en una mochila o mosquetón cuando uno sale al campo, es sólido y fiable aún en condiciones muy etremas. Una maravilla.

exactly as shown and described; well-made, good design, durable, yet light and compact. I usually don’t like push caps but the Backpacker pen suits very well, with the usual reliable Fisher SpacePens inks and refills, nice! Yeah, this is a Fisher SpacePens!

Fishes space pen is something special in the world of pens - and this particular one is an improvement over its predecessor. This time the place where you hold it while writing is not a rubber that peels off in a few years, but a firm and comfortable plastic. Another change is the ability to insert the detachable pen into its holster both ways - so you can make a full-sized pen if you need to write a lengthy text or hang it from your belt/backpack as a very short fully closed stick (holds very well, while being easy to open). Anodizing can be scratched, but still pretty nice and hard-wearing overall. Accepts standard Fisher refills with all their magic properties: smoothly and perfectly writes on anything, upside down, underwater, etc. Highly recommended.
