Great earrings; fun and comfortable!
I love these; they're fun and comfortable! Really cute design, makes for an interesting conversation piece. Plus I really like the leverback style of earrings; I find them a lot more comfortable than posts with backings or hooks. They can be hard to find at times. The earrings are good quality and feel sturdy.

LOVE THESE DNA STRAND EARRINGS
I have waited for 5 years to get these beauties and I’m so excited to finally have these DNA Strand earrings! I wear them more then any of my other earrings and I’ve only had them about a month. Sometimes they are a little hard to get in/and due to the way they open and shut, but they’re worth the “pain” (slight discomfort when trying to get them open) lol

Fun earrings
As the non leaded pewter is non toxic and does not tarnish like silver I appreciate these earrings. However, I bought this pair for a friend after her comments on my pair of DNA earrings from another seller, the work on them is not as smooth the other pair I had bought from myself...but they are half the price I suppose.... I'm currently debating whether or not my friend would be disappointed after having seen mine. They aren't ugly or disfigured, but are a slightly rougher make then the pair I previously mentioned. I think that without looking Paris and I would have been very happy with these still.

These go great with my mRNA cufflinks
Abstract: An investigation was performed to determine if DNA earrings would induce a favorable response from a spouse.Materials and Methods: Anatomology DNA earrings were obtained using standard Amazon search and purchase protocols. Chain of custody and deception were used to prevent contamination via earring-recipient interaction. The earrings were stored in the dark at room temperature for four days then presented to the recipient during a holiday gathering. Results: Exposure to the earrings resulted in a rapid and highly-positive response from the recipient. Positive responses of slightly lesser intensity were also observed in others not directly involved in the reaction. The recipient later reported highly-positive responses from colleagues upon subsequent exposure to earrings, along with envy response in a small but statistically-significant subset. Note: Unfortunately, DNA earrings treated with Taq polymerase did not result in necklaces.Discussion: Spouse is the coolest nerd in the lab (p ≤ 0.00001).

Unique and fun to wear
Got these for my daughter and she loves them. She enjoys science and forensics, so this was a great gift.

DNA is a right-handed helix. One of this pair is left-handed.
The normal form of DNA (B-form DNA, the work of Watson and Crick) is a smooth right-handed helix. Imagine the path that your right thumb takes as you screw in a normal screw. That's a right-handed helix. Look at that same moving thumb in a mirror: that's a left-handed helix. Many popular depictions of DNA erroneously show a left-handed helix. One of these earrings is right-handed and the other is left-handed, so one is correct and the other is in error. (there are DNA earrings available with each ear-ring a right-handed helix, should you care).Yes, left-handed DNA does exist, but its backbone is not the smooth helix shown here (it's jaggedy, maybe that's why it's called Z-DNA), its very rare and its biological function is debatable.

Good earrings but not as recognizable as some of the others.
These are a lot larger and danglier than I expected for them to be. They almost remind me of the earrings from the 1980's. Unfortunately most people don't realize that they are DNA and instead think they are just twisty dangly earrings. The pair I have of the "Science symbol" are instantly recognizable to people. I perhaps should have gone with the neuron ones instead.Still these are great earrings. And who cares if the people around you don't notice that you have DNA dangling from your ears - YOU know it.
