Cook healthy (ok healthier) bacon on the grill
My boys LOVE bacon and I hate the mess of making it on the stove. So we had bought one of these at the local store over the summer. It doesn't fit a regular pack of bacon without it being stacked, so we have to rearrange the strips mid cooking, that's why we bought the second one. I was against buying the ones that have a non-stick surface because it doesn't take long before they start peeling. This pan is heavy, durable and easy to clean. I don't use non-stick spray either.... no need.

Bacon grilling is not all it's cracked up to be.
Makes a bit of a mess, and not much better than a large frying pan.

Didn't work for me.
I didn't want to seem too harsh so I updated this review. It seems really neat so I bought it for grilling at the cabin where we cook bacon most Sunday mornings. I find that both fatty and lean bacon sticks to this so bad that you cannot even get if off so you can say that I am not a fan and I really no longer use this product and it just sits underneath my grill.

It cooks bacon. Therefore it is from God.
It does exactly what it's supposed to do. It cooks bacon. And since bacon is the best thing on earth and we would all die without it, I have to give this 5 stars. It's well built and cooks very efficiently. It is kind of tall however. It has to sit right in the center on a Weber grill. You can NOT move it off to the side if you want to slow cook some meat candy. Therefore, having it in the center, you have to pay attention or you might burn your bacon. And if you do that, they come for you.It did take a VERY long time to get to me. Something about being out of them or having to make more of them or something. Whatever. That ALMOST made me drop those bacon haters to 4 stars but no one gives bacon or bacon accessories anything lower than the top rating. This is a universal truth and even I must follow the rules. That is all.

Still working with it but it is not just a set it and forget it rack
I purchased this from my local grill store hoping it would make my bacon cook evenly without alot of fuss. To test it, I ran three cooks with 4-6 pieces each cook. I was using a Kamado Joe JR with the ceramic heat deflector in it with temps between 400 and 450. Cook time for thick cut bacon was 25-30 min. In the first cook of 6 pieces, I noticed that the center of the bacon was getting done alot faster than the sides. The center part being at the top of the rack. It was not clear to me if this was happening because the bacon was only making direct contact withthe metal at that point (the ends swung out by about 1/2 inch) or if it had to do with temps being hotter higher in the dome. Maybe a little of both. For the second cook, I put 5 pieces on and moved the pieces every 8 min or so. This was done so that the high part of the device would contact a different part of the bacon. The result was more even cooking but the ends were still fatty since I as unable to move the peices but so far.Last cook was with aluminum foil under the device and moving the bacon around as above so the high point of the rack contacts more parts of the bacon. End result is same as test 2.Does anyone else have a problem with the high point of the rack transferring more heat than the sides? How did you solve the problem?

The product comes with a cardboard advertisement which glued to the product. The cardboard pulled away, but the glue stayed. I m having a devil of a time trying to remove the glue. This really make me angry.

OK - could be Great
Bacon still seems to stick to the S/S if you try to make it a little crispy, but it does keep the smoke out of the kitchen and you do not need to use a pan that covers the entire grill to cook bacon for burgers, a little oil seems to help keep things from sticking. The design is Great, would be better if it was Non Stick.
