Great quality and the smell was fresh and full of oil. Always love spices from this brand and buying in bulk helps a lot when you cook a lot of Indian cuisine.

These are very fresh and full of oil. I buy them to grind fresh when I make chili powder. The taste is amazing, no hint of dryness or rancid or old. Nothing at all like the normal pre-ground cumin powder. I use only a little at a time, and the seeds have retained their freshness. I will buy again, no question.

Taste is far better than the ground cumin that you have had sitting around. You can't beat fresh.

I like to brown these seeds with onions whenever I make lentils. It gives a very nice flavor. I used to buy from whole foods but this is such a good value. I went through my first purchase so fast I'll order another one. Although the flavor is strong, it is not overwhelming like adding ground cumin.
